  1. I viewed the pilot at NYCC and my friends and I felt that the pilot truly captured the horror - slapstick comedy of army of darkness. Simply put, we're all subscribing to starz to see the rest. The only issue is that Sam raimi directed only the pilot. I'm not sure whether that will make a big difference provided that Sam has a hand in the storyline.
  2. Were those moments of pure genius remnants of Edgar Wright's sense of humor?
  3. Bullseye is British? Well, apparently Matt Murdoch is English.
  4. Amber Heard and Rose McGowan (especially the latter) are both very pleasing to the eyes, but aren't they a bit diminutive to be playing the She-Devil with a Sword? More specifically, I envision an Amazonian type as Red Sonja - not that I'm suggesting that Brigitte Nielsen take up the mantle again.
  5. Oh,I assure you that even in 1940's NYC, the toxicity of the East River would have killed off anything potent in Steve Roger's blood the moment it hit the river.
  6. Good point. The answer is: the cell is monitored and you are hoping the two communicate so you can learn secrets.
  7. I enjoyed agent carter (much more than AoS), and appreciated Hayley Atwell's performance, but .
  8. Now that the Inhumans movie has been pushed back one year due to Spider-Man,I wonder if Marvel is still considering Vin Diesel for the role of Black Bolt as he'll be 51 years old in 2019. In addition, as Marvel tends to sign its big-name actors to 5-picture deals, Vin would be around "mandatory" retirement age by the time his contract expires. Then again, Roger Moore was 007 until his late 70s (jk).
  9. I'd like to remind everyone about some lost treasures from Marvel's finest moments internationally: Japanese Spider-Man predating Tony "Scarface" Montoya: Japanese Spider-Man vs Little Shop of Horrors: Or the cross-over dream of all-time: Turkish Evil Spider-Man vs. Santo vs. Captain America:
  10. I purchased a few issues from DtD recently. He packaged the items securely, shipped them promptly, and accurately graded the comics. Would purchase from again and highly recommend.
  11. I purchased the GT-20000 as well recently used, and I have no complaints thusfar. There is no glare from scanning CGC slabs (except for deep-welled ones for extra thick books). It has a 11.7 x 17 scanning area, and best of all, it works right out of the box without any fuss or muss. In terms of results, the color fidelity is fairly accurate right off the bat and it scans up to 1200 dpi.
  12. This is the same trailer, which was shown at NYCC at the end of the SHIELD screening.
  13. Shouldn't we post the prelim poster art from Marvel for this?
  14. I agree. Some creators do have artistic signatures - e..g, Steranko - that IMO, can enhance a cover. In general, I wouldn't have a key signed though.
  15. I hope they're on good terms. As an aside, I was at my parents' home recently looking through my stash when I discovered some early TMNT copies signed by the both of them when I was still in grade school. I had totally forgotten about these issues, but it brought back a flood of memories of meeting them at a NY comic con back in the late '80s. They were both super cool in a time in which one could just walk up to a creator, chat and get his signature for free.
  16. I had the exact same experience with Steranko. He's extremely engaging and takes his time with each fan. He also sells some of his difficult to locate books at fair prices. It was great meeting him. But it's true - don't take his photo. Don't get me wrong, I was thrilled to meet him and he was very pleasant. Chit chatted for a bit with me and my wife. Just don't take his picture.
  17. Purchased a few bronze age raws, which were accurately graded and nicely packaged along with a slab. Great communication and quick delivery. Would highly recommend.
  18. Bought a couple of atlas/seaboard comics that were accurately graded and packaged nicely. Provided a couple of shipping options as well. Would highly recommend.
  19. Thanks! Smooth transaction and would purchase from him again.
  20. Great buying from Barton. Books arrived in a day and were superbly packed. Of course, the books looked great as well. Would buy from Barton again.
  21. This gentleman is selling TMNT #1 second printing with a double cover: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-TMNT-1-Double-Cover-CGC-9-4-/291108366114?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item43c7692722 Has anyone seen this before?
  22. Thanks again to Peter Palmer for redirecting my message to the correct spot, and to everyone for his assessment of this comic. The pricing has gone over $2k for an unslabbed book which does not appear to be over 9.0, so I'm not sure I want to bid anymore, even if it is legit.
