I would love to hear the story about the cover.....Ken or anyone? The cover in question is the 2nd Printing of issue #1 -- the characters on the far left were inspired by these guys I saw on the Strip in Vegas. It was a guy with no arms carrying around a guy with no legs. Between the two of them they got done what they needed to get done. I told M.K. about it and he said we needed to base a character on that concept. But we didn't have a place for them in the story. So he put them in the police line-up. And we'll find a place for them in a future story. As well as others in that line-up....

My daughter drew it for me over the summer. That's awesome! Did you send it in to get graded? We've talked about getting it graded. I haven't decided yet but most likely send it in. Here's her next project. Chris Burnham left room for Todd on the Batman drawing Hannah is holding. Chris left part of Batman's cap unfinished so Hannah can tie Todd into the drawing. I'll post pictures when she has it finished. Awesome -- can't wait to see it.

In addition to my Godfatherly responsibilities, I've been under some serious deadlines with Todd, Indestructible, and another new book (coming this Fall from Image). So I haven't been on the board as much as I've wanted these past few weeks. But we're cranking on everything. And TV show news too! See ya'll at ECCC next week....

If you've read interviews and articles about M.K. you know that he comes from mafia stock. So I've informed the entire Perker family to refer to me as Godfather from now on. Just feels better if the only people who call you Godfather are actual mobsters.

Yes, I will be at ECCC --- hope to see lots of you there! The biggest and most important update to our schedule is....MK's first child (and my first god-child) was born on Friday! Leyla Perker, born 2/28/14. Here she is with her father: MK is in the middle of issue 9 and I've just started writing issue #11. The next arc is six issues. Our goal is to have that arc start in July. We'll see how MK balances Todd and Leyla before we totally commit to soliciting for July.

BREAKING NEWS -- May 17th and 18th I will be a guest at San Jose's Big Wow Comic Con. I will also be helping emcee the live art auction on Saturday night after the exhibitor floor closes. I may wear my satan mask and do some stand-up comedy. Anyway, this con has a very solid talent line-up. I'm hoping the meet and perhaps drink with THE Greg Rucka.
