  1. Picked this up in the recent Heritage auction. I got beaten by one bid for the 9.4 on ComicLink a while back, and now I'm glad I did. There are only 4 copies of this book in the census, and now I own two of them ... sheesh. Great color on this D copy:
  2. >> I am a big fan of the "woman in glass tube" motif AKA Women in Tubes (WIT) covers. And I thought I was the only one with that particular ... taste ... in covers! How about Chamber of Chills 22 (2) from Aug 1951 (I think it's an attachment to this post).
  3. [ the first five issues of Planet Comics ] sacentaur ...... WOW. Again WOW. Good grief that's a nice collection of books. It's fabulous to see them together. BTW, I'm still available for adoption ... we can get the paperwork started today! gozer ------------------------ Yes, I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?
  4. GE -- that Fight #32 is probably my favorite of the whole run. Very nice book you got there--great color.
  5. >> When I got Church copy of Rangers Comics #19 in the mail last week Skybolt -- can I have that book if you die? Or as an alternative, I'm still up for adoption in case you'd rather go that route. Could you post a scan? I'm curious about that book, since I happen to have the 9.6 Penn copy of #19. It would be great to see them side-by-side. Here's the Penn copy (this is not my scan, this is an image stolen from when it was on the Metro site):
  6. For those of you who appreciate the early issues of Wings, Metro suddenly has a tremendous selection of Church copies. I don't know where these came from (I just noticed them a few days ago), but there are 13 Church copies available. They're out of my price range, but they are tempting. http://outside-affiliatelinksnotallowed.com/lme24 (I have no connection to Metro other than as an occasional customer) gozer ----------------- Hurry, hurry! Each "Matlock" could be our last.
  7. Love seeing the early Planets. I just got my first Church book -- and it looks even better in person!
  8. My first Church book -- and this scan doesn't really do it justice. The colors are even more vivid than they show up here.
  9. Gorgeous books. Donut: I started the adoption paperwork, so in just a few days I'll be your legal heir! Then when you have that mysterious lethal paper-clip accident, I'll have your comics to help me through my grief. gozer
  10. My current crop of Rangers Comics: Of those, I think 7 of them are either the highest or tied for highest in the census. Poor number 37 (lady dynamiting the dam) at a very respectable 7.0 is the LOWEST in the census! cheers, gozer ----------------------- Foul temptress. I'll bet she thinks Ziggy's gotten too preachy too!
  11. Just wanted to add my $.02 cents -- a very big thank you to NR for getting this information together. Any chance of getting this topic "pinned" to the top of the forum topics? gozer
  12. Ahhhhh. Moon Girl ... what a title. Wacky and serious at the same time. And now it's MINE, ALL MINE --- HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
  13. Just picked up two of my favorite GGA science fiction books: Thank you, zencomics.
  14. >> short-lived titles of the GA There's a few nice short runs in the science fiction books also ... Lars of Mars -- only 2 issues Space Action -- only 3 issues Space Busters -- only 2 issues Space Patrol -- only 2 issues Space Western -- only 6 issues And how about all the Avon one shots: - An Earthman on Venus - Robotmen from the Lost Planet - Out of this World Do they count as a run of 1? gozer ---------------------------------- Thirty-five years in television and already nobody remembers me. Just like what's-his-face.
