  1. New... leave the RRP cover for the RRP. Makes the RRP that much better! And who doesn't want a new piece of art for the cover on the HC.

i agree with that would love some new art

I'd love some statues or some cool Vinyl figures, even those POP! ones would make me happy.

that would be amazing would easily buy a lying cat

  2. Thanks to DScott, I was able to get this nice J Scott Campbell piece, unpacked and got it on my wall this weekend:

    J%20Scott%20Campbell%20-%20Mandy.jpg

I thought it was a great girly sketch, and a nice example of his ink/copic work, that was almost reminiscent of his sketchbook pieces.

I went through an interesting struggle on this piece. Through some very helpful collectors of J Scott Campbell's art, I was able to determine the original purchase value (at a convention) of similar pieces. I then had to justify the increase in price to A) the cost of me going to a convention, B) the ability to actually get a JSC sketch and C) the time I would have to take to stand in line playing pocket pool waiting for my sketch.

After some thought and consultation with the wife - I went for it, feeling good with my purchase. This was the most expensive piece I've bought to-date. I know for a lot of boardies, going to a convention is easy peasy, but for people like me, in the middle of nowhere - it's quite an undertaking to get to a con, and I discovered that I really don't have a problem paying a premium to obtain something I may not ever get on my own.

That's a nice score. I love JSC stuff as well and the premium you paid was most likely worth it. It's not the easiest thing to get something of that quality nowadays as he's often only doing the quick sketches, and then the line time for those can even end up being quite the marathon. Congrats!

    great piece

  3. I figured it was Sarah that Ollie called (to help Laurel) and that it was Sarah at the end when Laurel was laying on the floor out-of-it. I'm wondering, and this idea has been floated here before, if somehow Sarah either is killed by assassins or has to vanish for a while, and Laurel takes over as the Black Canary. She doesn't have the fighting skills, but (like Roy) Ollie could teach her. Anyone else think this might happen?

Cool theory I could go for that.

    that would be very interesting

  4. finally got to sit and read the newest issue and it was awesome to bad none of that artwork is for sale

I hear ya, but I think it's pretty cool that the OA stays with the one that inspired the character. Otherwise, I would be jealous of one of you guys with the quick triggers! Love that DPS at the end.

    i agree it very cool

  5. Good episode. Deathstroke looks great! I hope we see Ivo working on Amazo before the season finale. Confident that we will see Ras. I like meltdown Laurel better than DA Laurel. Does Roy need to become Arsenal? I don't think he needs the replacement parts. It wasn't The Question in the promo. :(

loved the episode and i agree deathstroke looked awesome

yeah he was awesome and it was a nice custom upgrade.

yeah the upgrades were cool looking it was a nice touch

  7. Interesting statement from BKV in a recent interview with cbr about a tv adaptation. Never say never.

Fiona and I get option offers all the time, but I don't think the technology or financial model exists yet to realistically make "Saga" work as either a television series or a feature. I'm certainly open to being proven wrong though, especially if Paul Thomas Anderson is looking to adapt a pervy space fantasy for his next project. For now, I like comics way more than film and TV, so I'm happy for "Saga" to remain nothing but a lowly funny book.
