  1. Catching up with my reading and Todd 1-4 was next in the pile. Loved it! (thumbs u When does issue 5 come out?
  2. I'd say keep it unless you get a ridiculous offer. I set a few highs of the RRP prices and as much I'd love to own some OA from the series and a cover I really enjoy, the fact it's the only OA isn't a draw for me, particularly as it isn't by Fiona Staples. Nor do I see it to command such a high price on the open market for those very reasons unless people got into a frenzy and went silly. If another piece of OA for Saga appears down the line, one of the potential attractions (for some people) disappears. I know what I'd pay for it and it certainly wouldn't be 10K for 4-5K I'd expect the artist to be someone always in demand and very mainstream, e.g. Jim Lee, JSC. So I'd keep it, or trade for some key books which will always hold their value and appeal Congrats on the purchase though (thumbs u
  3. It has a preview of Revival before issue 1 was released
  4. Downloaded GIMP, way too complicated for me I used to be able to do all this years ago. I've already got my images cropped during scanning, just want to stitch them together. Will have a browse for a simple guide
  5. Picked up a HP 8200 scanner, all works well, haven't tinkered with the settings yet (using the HP scanner software on the cd and saving to jpeg). How does everyone stitch together the files to create those seen in boardies sigs? Any recommend free software for the pc to do this?
  6. I wonder if the Pied Piper shows up? Last page dialogue in that preview seemed a bit cheesy. Like the fantasy setting
  7. And an Image First printing Im trying to do a full run and I kinda don't want to include the image first in my registry. I've got RRP's 1-9 with issue 10 in transit, and have all the others ready to be graded but undecided as to whether to commit to the other prints. OCD eh? Bad enough I ended up with multiples of some when I could've used that money subbing the others Have to draw the line somewhere! Possibly send 1b-e but that cash can go to buying stuff to read Never understood that whole registry competitiveness but the same logic could be applied to having CGC comics Oh and who is that chick with the Hula Hoop?
  8. 2nd prints all the way up to issue 8 if my memory serves me correctly, I'm too lazy to check my box of them, I've a pic of them all many, many pages back in this thread.
  9. I've really enjoyed this book, think it will read even better as a trade. Has one been solicited? So with Rossmo leaving the book, will Irving still be creating the 1st print covers or the new penciller?
  10. It's the same as Manhattan Projects so not as shiny or smooth as Saga's paper stock.
  11. Be interesting when I visit FB in the morning if there will be a 1 per customer limit like the Five Ghosts Phantom or Batman Inc. 8. Hopefully find some 9.8 candidates Regardless of print runs and speculation, I hope the book is a great read and brings more interest into the medium. I can't remember, is this a double sized issue?
  12. Absolutely brilliant Helped out an international boardie with some books and posters, excellent packaging, very quick, and the condition of everything was exactly as described! Would happily buy again
  13. Feel free to leave any feedback of our transactions
  14. Most of mine don't have the spine rub. Probably about 6 do. Anyway, Not long for EoW to drop I'll be in my FB in the morning hunting for 9.8 candidates of the variant (thumbs u Hope they ship international orders better than how Niro described! Just the FB variant so far right?
  15. For larger multiples I'll have them on a standing order or would've pre-ordered online two months prior. Pisses me off to read about how someone saw that their LCS had X amount and they took them all on release day Preorder your mess and leave the rest.
  16. Ah I see The stores did have Lookout Riddle 4 though so I got mine! I actually prefer the phantom covers to the 1st printings. The more I look at the 1st prints, the more I get turned off by them. 2nd prints>phantoms>1st prints for me.
  17. Plenty of them in the FB in London today, its where I picked up mine My favourite cover of the Bedlam phantom variants so far
  18. Isn't the worst that it gets lost/damaged in transit and they pay out the value that you submitted? I think paying that little more for the standard tier and valuing the book higher for piece of mind would be worth it. Or that's my understanding of how it works, I'm awaiting my first submissions to arrive back any day now.
  19. Is issue 5 out tomorrow? I too prefer the Rossmo 2nd print covers but it was the cover of 2 that made me pick it up and flick through it. Well that and the ridiculous amount of copies Forbidden Planet had ordered in. I submitted the first four issues to be dual SS signed at the LSCC, expecting 2-4 to be 9.8 but 9.2-9.6 for 1. Is this an ongoing or a mini-series? And those sketches on the previous pages are bloody awesome!
  20. I just want a copy but I missed out on the sales threads and not many people ship to the UK On another note, I picked up a #1 5th print, #2 2nd print and 1st prints of 3 and 4 for a £1 each yesterday I'm still waiting on a slow delivery of some goodies but I did speak with Dan of Scott's Collectibles on Sunday who let me know what my first submissions were graded at. I'll wait till I see them though
  21. I got back into comics recently after years of being frustrated with all the crossovers and multiple titles (Marvel/DC) and switching to manga. I would walk into the LCS, bypass the comics and browse the other sections. Who knew that I was missing out on great comics? So I've been catching up and I guess the shops and dealers have been loving my spending! Image certainly have improved since I last picked up their output and now about 60-70% of what I buy is from them and Saga (SAGAH ) is my favourite. I was advised by a friendly eBay seller to visit here and to buy large in Saga but think I may have gone overboard! There's ten first print sets in there which could increase anywhere from twelve to nineteen if I filled in some gaps. The graded comics aren't properly displayed as some are in transit to me, but that would make it eleven sets, I'll post a picture of them soon I don't intend to sell, I just like supporting the creators. That and I can't stand buying a up copy on release day that some shop staff seem to enjoy mishandling I just tried explaining the series to my sister tonight and ended up giving her the trade to just try for herself and share with her fiancé. I can't remember reading a comic in a long while that literally had me turning each page and being so engrossed! I want her to read it, then i'll give her the other issues to read so she too, can experience the horror of Fiona Staples rendition of balls! I cannot wait for the next issue and it sucks that the UK won't receive #10 on Wednesday! May have to go digital for that one. I'm hoping there will be some sort of Saga poster at the LSCC next weekend or at one of the cons which I can hopefully purchase via a board member or eBay Anyway, thought I'd stop being a lurker, register and say hello
