  1. I'd like to add how amazing the art of comics look on an iPad retina display. A lot of the art nowadays is done digitally. Stuff like Saga looks absolutely gorgeous on my tablet. I buy the physical copy of a lot of stuff mostly image but I'll read it digitally. The artwork just pops on my screen. It looks better than on the printed page. I think there is room for both though. It helps me keep my collection manageable and not clutter it with stuff that I read just to keep up with continuity.

  2. I'll keep :wishluck: for you.

I only have one very small little wish. A year or 2 from now, they give East of West the Game of Thrones/The Tudors/Deadwood HBO treatment.

Networks have made tremendous strides in recent years and the quality of their shows has increased exponentially. Take a look at TWD, Sleepy Hollow, Revolution, Black Sails, etc. and you get the idea. I don't know stories like EOW and Saga would appeal to a lot of people but they are no farther out than Game of Thrones imo.

It's pretty funny, though, in Game of Thrones (just finished Season 2), like the "big" battle scenes, how you can still tell it's a TV show because they keep the filming VERY tight, don't pan out. You can tell it's still a limited budget, limited scope, and that they kind of hit the wall in terms of what they can do.

You need to finish season 3 there are scenes in that that look like Lord of the Rings. Watch for a massive marching army scene...

  3. She's pretty damn popular. I know a lot of people who know of her that know nothing of comics because they watched the animated series as kids. Which is where she's really from anyway. Also I would be willing to bet she is in one of the new Batman films in the next few years and then who knows how high it will go. And I don't have one so this is an unbiased opinion.

  4. So my shop has these for me. Said they became available. And, at cover price!

    Aquaman #23.2 Ocean Master

    Batman #23.3 Penguin, 23.4 Bane

    Detective Comics #23.3 Scarecrow

Batman: The Dark Knight #23.1 Ventriloquist, 23.2 Mr. Freeze, 23.3 Clayface

    #23.4 Jokers Daughter

Green Lantern #23.1 Relic, 23.2 Mongul, 23.3 Black Hand, 23.4 Sinestro

Justice League of America #7.4 Black Adam

Wonder Woman #23.1 Cheetah, 23.2 First Born

I wouldn't touch them except for Freeze, Ventriloquist, and Jokers Daughter. Unless you plan on collecting the set.

  5. Thanks! Got me feeling better about it. It's issue 1 regular. Yea I basically submitted it at a show and looked it over probably quicker than I should have, but you're right, I'm warming to my 9.6 since it's my first graded comic, and it looks pertty in that shiny new case..lol

Congrats on the book and the grade. If you ever want to bump it up a grade, you can probably press out the defect. There is not much to color-break with that white cover.

I hear people talking about that all the time but how do you go about doing it. But yea it was just a small crease I didn't see and I can't even notice unless I put it at a specific angle in the light. Even then it's hard to see.

You have to send the book to someone that knows what they're doing. There's a certain science/art to it. Joeypost is a Boardie on here. He is one of the best in the bus. (thumbs u

I hit up my nearest brick and mortar and they had regular and 1 variant.. I didn't research enough, so I've missed the betty cover.

    I need a waaaaah-mbulance. Stat.

Off topic but love your batman covers in your sig man.. My local comic shop had 5 copies of the Detective cover I sold all but one at $25 a piece. I kind of wish I saved a few more actually..
