  1. Fast, safe shipping on SDCC exclusives - great communication and picked up a book on request. Many thanks!
  2. As I understand it, he's had a rough few months. See https://www.gofundme.com/ps6erqqm. I'm sure support of any sort would be welcome.
  3. Image has been pushing getting books out on a regular schedule recently. Most likely means books will be out ever month to 6 weeks, but with more breaks after arcs.
  4. I talked with Rucka at NYCC - it's been optioned to Legendary and he was finishing the -script. Interview here: http://13thdimension.com/the-greg-rucka-interviews-talking-lazarus-and-black-magick/
  5. Shameless self promotion - here's an interview I did with Rucka on Lazarus: http://13thdimension.com/the-greg-rucka-interviews-talking-lazarus-and-black-magick/
  6. It's a GRAPHIC NOVEL FOR $7.99. Best deal on the shelves today.... Well, except for the Island which is 100+ for the same price but still a very good deal
  7. Yes and no. They add a nice effect sometimes, but are often way overused. It would be more effective to reserve it for certain tense scenes, etc., rather than every page.
  8. They must have owned half the run of the RRP book. I've seen them list them every week for as long as I can remember and 9 since 2/20/15. I tried to buy the 1st one but I quit bidding after that because they used the same pic over and over. I don't mind when people use a stock photo on a cheap book or series but I certainly would want a current picture on anything $100 on up. +1 Yeppers. I bought one from them before realizing this. Wasn't the one pictured - it had some corner damage and a color-breaking crease on the spine. After noticing this, I contacted them and raised the issue; they denied it, but said I could return the book, but that they would be unable to replace it b/c I had waited a few days to contact them ("if I had know earlier that you were not happy with the book, I would have been able to replace it."). I returned the book for a refund. They have sold at least three more copies since mine was returned. I was unimpressed.
  9. I disagree 100% The costume was barely shown so I think saying it sucks is a bit much. We need some better lighting to really see it. I think it looks fine from what I've seen. And the last episode was fantastic. I'm surprised by anyone who thinks this series wasn't one of the best things Marvel has ever put out. I still don't know how I feel about the costume. I WANT to like it, but I really don't think I do. I wasn't expecting the classic all red costume but I actually think the movie costume was better. I know the costume is all about functionality and technical features, but this costume reminds me of the armored costume of the 90's. I would think simpler is better and just one color with subtle touches of black. And the horns are too pointy and the mask is . I half expected Kingpin to when Daredevil showed up in the costume. I think the club is spot on and liked the metal buckle additions. But overall it seems a little goofy. Feels like a CW show or an 80's super hero movie costume and didn't fit with the rest of the show's "mature" nature. Exactly what Swick said. I liked the series and its miles beyond AOS. just felt underwhelmed by the finale. Just didn't fit with the previous 12 episodes. +1 The suit just looked cheap, and it made all of DD's great acrobatic moves from the first 12 episodes suddenly appear clumsy. I'm just glad they waited until the last episode to unveil it; I think the show's feel and reception would have been very different if he'd been wearing that outfit from the beginning.
  10. I still have 192 pre screen Modern and Value tiers comics received in October that have not shipped yet. both of these are helpful in making me realize i don't need to start holding my breath about receiving my books for another month at least. Still waiting for a batch of Modern SS from NYCC in October.
  11. I've now had a set of books sitting as graded for four weeks. Is this abnormal? I've never had this happen with a sub before.
  12. go to "see original listing" and click on the "print" link. It sod for $300
  13. So my last set of books subbed at NYCC (on 10/10/14) have been sitting as graded for 2 weeks now. over three month turnaround time.
  14. I was wondering that. I haven't lived in NYC since 2009, and I was trying to figure out if that was Hell's Kitchen or not (it looks to be too far east of the Hudson). It's too far east and south, on the wrong side of Midtown.
  15. looks awesome, but am I the only one that is bothered by the fact that the DD isn't over Hell's Kitchen?
  16. Modern SS slow-track subbed at NYCC (3 submissions due to different signings, 10/9, 10/10, and 10/11) Marked "Received" 10/14/14 And . . . 1 of 3 verified on 12/3
  17. Excellent interview! Nicely done getting the movie questions in there quickly so you could move onto the book. I enjoyed it (thumbs u Thanks - it was a lot of fun; Snyder is a really smart and humble guy.
  18. Shameless self-promoting plug for an interview I did with Snyder about Wytches: http://13thdimension.com/comics-sans-capes-scott-snyder-talks-wytches-2/ Enjoy!
  19. I thought Rossmo's art was pretty awesome, maybe my favorite that I've seen from him. I loved the scenes of snowy Siberia.
  20. So (shameless self-promotion) I had the very cool opportunity to interview Scott last week about Wytches and some of this influences and his favorite witch stories. First part of the interview talking about his influences is up (http://13thdimension.com/the-13-greatest-witches-by-scott-snyder/) if anyone is interested, and there should be a second part more about the series next week
  21. I was in line when they sold out on Thursday. got there 5 min after opening on Friday and they were out. Got there within minutes of opening on Sat and the line was 80 ppl deep with 2 per and no chance of getting a copy. Was first in when the main doors opened on Sunday and still gone by the time I got back to booth. So f'ing annoyed at the whole thing.
