Hello! If you would like to send us an email with the submission number, we may be able to provide you with a more detailed answer but only if you are listed on the submission. You can reach us at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thank you.

Thank you! I have sent an email just now. I appreciate the quick response to the post.

  2. I have had some submissions, through a third party, that I was told by a representative of CGC (in January 2023) were in one of these two statuses:

"Grading/Quality/Control" and the other "Quality Control/Finalized"

I still haven't seen either of these books shipped, but the third party tells me

    Quote

"Our CGC representative informed us that there is a long line of items ready to be packed and shipped at CGC's headquarters, not only just from Third party company name submissions, but all other clients of CGC as well. This is the reason for the delays you are experiencing on receiving your submission but I can assure you they are in the system and moving forward."

    Has anyone else experienced this?

  3. Hello @smodcastfan

I can do this, but it will take a lot of time to complete, due to the nature of the database.  I do not have the ability to automatically merge competitive sets.  I will have to do it by hand.  Your patience is appreciated.

@wytshus will you reply here when this is complete?

Thank you! All the work you do is much appreciated!

I realized that I originally posted this, incorrectly, in the "This set doesn't exist" thread.

Is it possible to get the Uncanny X-men 2016, and 2019 volumes merged into the X-Men (1963) (Complete) set?

This set completely stops after issue 600, but based on volumes 2, and 3 existing in the set, I'm assuming these can as well.

Also, I see you created a X-Men (2021) set. Can that be added to the X-Men (1963) (Complete), as well?

    Thank you!

    Good morning,

Thanks for your message. If the submission was sent in by a dealer on your behalf then it will show under the dealer's account and not your own personal account.  However, if they have it shipping back to you directly and your name and address are listed then we can provide you with information on your order.  If you have the submission number or order number, you can contact CGC directly at 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com.

    Thanks!

    Thank you!

That is exactly what I needed to know ^^

  5. I have purchased multiple books from Torpedo, that they have sent in for pressing/grading, but I can't seem to find a way to track the progress on these submissions.

I know Torpedo can, and will, look them up for me, but since I've submitted quite a few since April I'd rather not be a constant pain to them.

I know that I have at least 2 'submission' numbers from them (all start with 'CGC' followed by a 10 digit number.

    Thank you,

    Smodcastfan

I was told at C2E2 2020 that pressing won’t change grading outcome. So what I got from the CGC team member was the book is what it is regardless of pressing. Side note: it’s nice to know yours is being graded. I’m still showing Received.  Received Fingers crossed I’m next in line somewhere

The three that I sent through the Claremont Private Signing event are still showing Received too, and it took an extra week for those to appear on the site, only to have the Received Date listed as 3 days after the GSX. I'm hoping they start getting updated soon too

  7. Update: My GSX #1 has been graded, imaged, and shipped!

Looking at the Grader's notes (below), I'm assuming that (at least some of) these could be fixed by pressing. Am I understanding that right?

If so, does it make sense for me to (eventually) return the book and have it pressed, and re-graded? (I got a 4.0, which is better than I expected, but if pressing might increase the grade, I might be interested)

  8. Hello all,

I have been a fan of Marvel for as long as I can remember, but more specifically the X-Men family of books.

For a long time, my brother and I could occasionally convince our dad to let us buy a comic book from the spinner rack, at one of the local drug stores; the bad part of this being that there was never a time when we managed to get 2 issues (of any book) in a row.

When we finally found a local comic shop, the very first book I bought was Uncanny X-Men #181, Young Dragons In Love!

Since then, while I always buy new X-Men books, I also bought some of this, and that.

I've gotten to the point (at 48) that I am focusing on eventually getting the entire Uncanny X-Men (volume 1) run. I have (give or take) half of the books that will make me feel like I've accomplished my goal, including the GEM of my collection (currently being slabbed) Giant Size X-Men #1!!

C2E2 is a pretty major convention (although I don't know if attendance was down due to health concerns), so that likely means there were quite a few submissions that occurred at that convention.  I don't think its unreasonable to think they didn't start inputting books into the system in florida until late Tuesday or even early Wednesday.  If your books for whatever reason were at the tail-end of the stack of books submitted, it might be 5-10 business days starting Wednesday.  If your GSX 1 is high grade maybe you paid for some type of expedited service then I'd expect to see it faster?  I'm not sure if that answer helps, but I wouldn't have any level of concern until St Patricks Day, even then, just an email or call to customer service would probably clear up any questions.  It might also depend on the tier you're submitting.

I’m not necessarily concerned, more excited 🤓🤓

    thank you for the information!

  10. I dropped off a copy of my Giant Size X-Men #1, and 3 other books to be signed by Chris Claremont, at C2E2 last weekend.

Assuming that those books would normally show up in my Submission section, how long can I expect it to take, before they appear?

Also, since the Giant Size X-Men was "pre-submitted" using the webform (as expidited), am I correct in guessing that I'll get it back before I do the books from the Claremont private signing?

    TIA
