  1. I bought the final issue Wednesday, but just couldn't allow myself to read it until today... I didn't want it to end! Can't wait for Matt's next ongoing.
  2. Uh, yeah... those are all fantastic! Great idea... What? Not sure if you're being sarcastic? No sarcasm whatsoever... you have me thinking about new commission ideas. Did you go through Cadence for Jeff or contact him directly before the con?
  3. Uh, yeah... those are all fantastic! Great idea...
  4. I understand the water pressure potential, however, wasn't the truck stalled. Without the motor running, we have no pressure from the pump, only static pressure of the tank. (I realize I'm nit-picking, but I didn't like it.) I don't recall a bunch of head shots either, but I haven't rewatched the episode yet and may be wrong. I'll reserve judgment until after I watch it again.
  5. That bothers me as well. Didn't the group make a big deal about finally getting back together and not separating again? No time passes at all, and now they are in 3-4 different directions. grrrrr.... Splitting the groups allows for non-linear storytelling. Beth, Carol and Daryl's story happened a few days earlier than Abe's. I don't mind that approach at all. It will all come together... Now the fire-hosing... I would have been satisfied if Eugene suppressed the threat just long enough for everyone else to stab them in the cranium. I wasn't a fan of the death by water pressure to the chest.
  6. I agree with everyone, that is a fantastic job! I'm curious where you want him to sign it? My vote would be for a spot that won't distract from your rendering!!
  7. I think you hit on the reason for minimal discussion in your own thread. IMO the world building is pretty complete. There isn't much to "think about;" at this point we're just along for the ride. You don't need to read each issue 2-3 times, so you can plow through 12 issues in one sitting with ease. I know many folks who only read WD in trade format because the book reads so quickly. In terms of the storyline, what is there to talk about other than "that happened - I did or didn't see that coming!" To me, that is not a negative, it's just where we are in the life cycle of the book. Now back to OA, someone please post something new they picked up...
  8. I hear ya, but I think it's pretty cool that the OA stays with the one that inspired the character. Otherwise, I would be jealous of one of you guys with the quick triggers! Love that DPS at the end.
  9. If you were to submit a sketch #13 to CGC, I assume they would slab it with a green label. What if you took your raw copy to a Con where Matt was in attendance and had him sign it again or hand it directly to a CGC witness? Still green label?
  10. Some books are just better in monthly format, and this one is at the top of my list! I have the hardcovers too - and LOVE them, but you do miss the inside cover profiles in the hardcover. Matt tends to drop a few crumbs without spoilers in the inside covers of the floppies.
  11. +1 on the great issue! This issue had it all: filled in gaps from previous issues, brought us current on Ella, and hints at future relevance. Matt Kindt
  12. Just go to any quality used book store and ask for a Brodart archival jacket cover. Take the book with you so they can match the right size. Very jealous, btw - love the dust jacket!! Patiently awaiting my pre-order...
  13. I found this to be sound advise, I just didn't want to read anything after reading this first yesterday. Might read it again today too!
  14. I'm hoping we will see some more pictures of the Perker commissions from the show... (thumbs u
  15. I ask my LCS owner every week... not yet!
