I can't compete with all of the beauties being posted but I'll go ahead and show a few recent purchases.

The Four Color #108 and Mickey Mouse Magazine Vol 3 No 2 came from ciorac. The Four Color #422 came from shiverbones. I know the Mickey Mouse Magazine Vol 3 No 2 isn't a duck book but I really like the cover.

I have added a few funny animals to the collection recently.

The Venus #19 Cover Recreation by Josh Howard finally came today and I love it. It took awhile since Josh has been very busy with the new move to Image Comics but the piece was definitely well worth the wait.

Unless there's something going on on the back cover, this should be exhibit #1 in the case for CGC hammering Dells and Ducks in particular. Great books CA.

On the back cover there are a lot of creases that are what definitely brought the grade down. The front cover looks terrific so I am really pleased with the book. If not for those crease on the back I probably would not own it right now. I will post an image of the back later tonight.

Three ducks came in the mail today. The FC 62 and the FC 203 are from shiverbones and the FC 386 is from GreatEscape. I was able to get the FC62 by selling some books on the BST and trading Matt a Worlds of Fear #10 and somehow I also ended up trading for the FC 386. I wasn't expecting that but I am thrilled to have all 3 of them. Thanks again guys.

A few ducks came in the past few days.

This awesome Barks portfolio arrived today and I figured I had so share it so I took pics of the back and front of each page. I paid a whopping $15 for it so I am very pleased.

The commission will have to wait awhile or at least until the payment from the sale of Crime Suspenstories #22 arrives.

I would have asked Josh to do it for the free piece that he said he would do for the mishap but I already asked him for an April O'neal piece which he sounded excited about doing since he has not done any pieces based on her.

I recently commissioned another Pre-code Cover recreation to Josh and this time I chose Mister Mystery #16. The piece arrived today and Josh totally made it his own. During the shipping the piece was damaged by the post office. The piece received two creases widthwise. I emailed Josh and told him about it and he said he would make it right by making me another piece. Josh is definitely a stand up guy. I never expected him to make a new color piece for me so he is definitely going above and beyond considering the damage was only partially his fault. (thumbs u

That settles it. 4 votes for Venus #19 so that will definitely be the next one I have Josh do.

Thanks for the suggestion, Bill. I had completely forgotten about Venus since I don't own any of them but I think Venus #19 definitely has potential to be a recreation. Any other suggestions? It will probably be a while before I have another recreation done but you never know.

Thanks guys. I definitely like the PCH cover recreations that I have gotten. Do any of you have any suggestions of what cover I should go with next? I was thinking of maybe one with a vampire or a werewolf since I already have a zombie and this mummy. Of course it has to also have a girl in it since that is definitely Josh's specialty.

good point! Cool piece of art! That Mr. Mystery issue was one of the first pre codes I bought many years ago.

The sad thing is I still don't have a copy of that book yet. Whenever a copy comes around I have been tight on cash so I am still looking for a copy.
