5 weeks later, one is graded and received, and I'm no better off on the other.  Any update on 4311710 @CGC Mike? When does someone contact me to let me know why my book has been "stuck" for 4 months, instead of 'I'm sorry this happened to you.  Ill shoot another email inquiring about this"?  83 business days.

It's unreal. I can't even get them to give me a call back to discuss the situation. The service has gone straight off a cliff in recent years (along with the quality and just about every other aspect of the company.) Every time i speak to them I get a different story up to and including Matt himself was going to look into it as it was assigned to him. All of a sudden that is no longer a think when I call back and it's back to square one. What a joke...

The best part about waiting a month and a half for your modern fast track is the part where they destoy your 9.8 book (again), and then make you ship back an obviously destroyed book and then let it sit in a box for days on end (again) even though it is clearly marked as mechanical error on all sides. My ability to trust them with my books has gone to zero in recent years....

Has anyone delt with this? They are literally still sitting on this book with absolutely no movement. I call service and they don't seem to care at all that they destroyed a customer's book and refuse to put any kind of priority on this at all. My mind is blown. The first book they destroyed on me years ago they handled it super professionally and moved very quick and seemed genuinely cared. How times have changed....

The inhouse move answer wasnt used?

Oh yeah, they used it, but it can't justify a modern order received a week after my MFT order getting shiped weeks before mine. For a company whose job it is to keep valuables safe and organized they sure do a bad job of both. They tried to keep my business of course but at this point nothing could really allow me to trust them with my books anymore. I'd have to see years of change at this point.

For something like this, I have been asked to refer customers to customer service.  This will avoid people getting different answers.

Sounds like bad management. They should be more directly open with community, especially when the public perception is that the wheels are coming off at CGC. This kind of issue, damaged books left and right, wild inconsistencies in grading and horrible QC.

I appreciate the quick reply and I get your stance thought.  I appreciate you directly as you do a great job here on the boards 👍

    No rhyme or reason...

@CGC Mike Can we get an official comment on this? I dont get how my modern fast track received on 11/3 (not to mention the extra 10 days it took you guys to open the box) hasn't shipped yet while modern non fast track orders from a week later have shipped. It's inexcusable to do this and then charge people the extra money for fast track.

Nope. If any were fast track it would say under the service. We haven’t done any fast track on moderns in a while, we let the chips fall where they may.

Meanwhile my 11/3 modern fast track still hasnt shipped. This service has become a total joke....lol Pretty sure this will be my last CGC sub after a decade of exclusively using them. It's just not worth the inconsistency combined with the horrible QC. 😔

If it's 29 business days you're talking about, I would call Customer Service and have them refund your Fast Track fees.

Yeah, I was tempted to. With the way things are going I'll just be glad if my books aren't maimed in the slabbing process lol The 10 days to open the box is the part that annoys me the most.

They have no problems taking that fast track money though. If they cared they would automatically refund it, but as it stand they can't even care enough to update the "current turnaround time". The quality has gone off a cliff in recent years across the board unfortunately, both in terms of service and quality control.

  9. So, I stopped submitting with CGC for over a year because unpacking books was taking days on end. I gave it a year, and now it seems to have gotten worse. Can someone in management explain why they think it is okay to charge an extra $15 per book for fast track stating a 10 day turnaround time, but then not open a box clearly labeled fast track on all sides for 10 days? This is doubling the turnaround time on books and then still charging the (higher than ever) fees. I feel it is extremely disingenuous to list a turnaround time of 10 days knowing perfectly well you are running 7 to 10 days late on opening boxes. Just an idea, but maybe use a portion of the higher than ever fees to hire some staff to unpack the books? It's a problem.

  10. Hey Everyone, Looking at a book and its pretty cool, but has this odd scuff. Anyone know if this is some kind of production flaw? The book looks like a solid 9.0 without it and just trying to gauge how much this would impact the grade. Has anyone had any experience with similar defects? It just has a production look about to me for some reason as there is a line running perpendicular to it. It looks much worse in the picture with flash than it does in hand but i wanted to show the details. Thanks in advance!!

But I at least get where it kind of puts them in a pickle. It has portions of the original cover that would otherwise be loose without being attached to the repro cover. Typically if the front cover is missing and the back is intact the book could get a .5 so I am guessing because it has portions of the actual cover it got the .5? A repro cover though with pieces of the real cover presumably glued on seems like poor restoration though, so I don't get why it is universal. Did I just talk myself back into?:

To some a marvel key is She-Hulk 1, to others it is AF 15.

More of an AF15 guy myself lol I don't have anything specific in mind really. I suppose Hulk 180, xmen or asm keys would be most interesting. OA always interests me too.
