  1. The unpacking time is real these days. Anyone else have things sitting there 3 days before they even mark it verified/received? I hadn't submitted in a long while, but it was kind of a shock to me.
  2. I'd worry about a press popping the second staple. Not worth the risk IMO.
  3. I remember my first and only tape pull when I first started collecting. ASM 138. The important thing is to learn from it. I keep mine as a reminder ? I'd say 4.0 as well, but a nice book!
  4. 7.5 looks right to me. Maybe an 8.0 with a clean and press.
  5. Since I had the book in hand I'll add my I'd give the book a 9.0 as well. Just making 9.0 without a press, but a solid 9.0 with the press and an upside of possibly 9.2 depending on the dust shadow. It looks much nicer in hand, the pictures kind of do it no justice.
  6. You're killing me James. I barely resisted the first round..... I have been trying to hunt down the right Moore page for about 5 years and just pulled the trigger on issue 2 page 5 a few weeks ago, so I have to try to resist. I had a shot at that Coral and his mom page back in the day but couldn't get close to an agreement on it (before you had it) so that one will tempt me anyway
  7. Congrats on that pick up! Such a great page. The bidding was super low for a while and I was getting tempted.
  8. Thanks! I actually wasn't even the winner of that auction. I missed it but it popped up for sale last week again and I was able to make a deal. Timing was on my side for once
  9. After 5 years searching, I finally added a Tony Moore Walking Dead page to the collection!
  10. Grades as expected? Grades were pretty good. About what I expected. Had a 9.6 go to 9.8 so that's good. A 9.4 go to 9.6 (I knew 9.8 would be pushing it). A 8.0 go to 9.0 which is as I expected 9.0 to 9.2 range. Just glad it bumped up since it is a Stan sig. Probably won't do anymore Stan sigs unfortunately. So the infamous "new graders" did not lay waste to your submission. Good to hear, sounds more like 1-2 people just being cranky about their grades, hope my submissions go as planned. My last sub was hammered. One high grade book noted corner creases on the the front and back cover that weren't there at all which is a bit strange. I had a NM 87 that was about as sure shot 9.8 as you can find and it got a 9.6. I was so sure it was a 9.8 I sold my 9.8 while it was getting subbed because this copy was far nicer. While I am not complaining by any means, I can at least confirm that I did notice the grading was a bit off from what it normally is. I sub quite a bit and it's not too often I am surprised by grades. They seem to have tightened up on the 9.8's if my last sub is any indication. I'm glad in the sense that I have seen too many overgraded 9.8 with color break, so it would be nice to not see those.
  11. Bought a bunch of super high grade Walking Dead books from Wayne. His grading was absolutely on point and he was just awesome to work with in general. Thanks so much Wayne, you are the man!
  12. I picked up a copy and really enjoyed it. Dave Taylor did a great job with the art too. I'm glad to have it back regardlesss of the wait.
  13. I get that people are annoyed that the book is late, as am I, but looking at the big picture here it was really ES trying to be a good bro. Nate had problems with getting the art out and ES stood by the guy to the detriment of his own book. It kinda sucks that he is getting hammered for trying to let a friend get through a tough time and not just replace him. It would seem this was the sole reason for all of the delays. Ultimately, they have a new artist and are trying to get ahead on the book before the release it so it wont suffer delays in the future. I am personally excited to read the new stuff. Yeah it's late, but I will have fun getting through the trade again and pick up with issue 7. It seems silly to hold a grudge and not read a great book just because of well documented issues that were for a legitimate reason. Why should any further delays be expected once it gets going? Maybe I am wrong, but that is the way I see it.

  18. Thought it might get a 9.8, but I'll take a great looking 9.6

  20. EXPRESS Received- 7/15 Verified- 7/16 Scheduled for Grading- 7/16 Graded- 7/17 7/23
  21. Is it really though for a front and back cover? The series only currently has six covers and I haven't seen another out there. I may be biased because it looks good with my other NWM pages I was very happy to pick it up for that price though.
