  1. Football and Nowhere Men #7 can't get here soon enough.

Paste: The Nowhere Men trade was also resolicited, signaling the return of the series to monthly comics. What can you tell us about the return of the series?

Stephenson: Not a lot, actually, apart from the fact we’ll be back in November with a new artist. Story-wise, issue seven picks up more or less where six left off. Oh, and that this time, it really will be a monthly comic.

Paste: It has certainly been a long road for the book since its debut in 2012. Looking at the books return, what would you say has changed about the series? What’s changed for you and the creative process, and how has the passing of time changed your influence, plans or outlook for the series?

Stephenson: Yeah, the first six issues took a long time to complete, which was obviously not how we’d planned things to go, but one of the upsides to that was I had more time to consider various things associated with the book. There were elements of the story I changed for the sake of expediency that wound up having an overall positive effect on the first arc, and some of that has carried over into preparations for the six issues.

The biggest difference in terms of outlook, though, is that I’m pretty aware of the uphill battle we’re facing in terms of reaching a readership that has likely grown impatient with us due to the long break. No one likes to wait forever, and that’s why we’re determined to get the next issues—and hopefully beyond—out on a regular basis.

    New artist?!

  2. In August’s solicits, a new printing of Nowhere Men Volume One was featured, with word coming that it is prelude to the return of the series in the fall. Why is it time for that book to come back, and will its return impact They’re Not Like Us in any way?

ES: Not really. They’re two different projects, and as far as the scripts go, I’m ahead on both of them. Simon is a machine in terms of generating pages, and since there’s a break between issues six and seven of They’re Not Like Us while we get the trade out, it’s looking like we’ll probably be finished with over half the second arc by the time we return in August. And Nowhere Men won’t be back until around the end of the year, so They’re Not Like Us will actually be heading towards its second break around that time, so there’s not a lot of actual overlap.

Why is it time for Nowhere Men to come back? Well, because it can, mainly. I would have liked to have it out sooner, obviously, but there have been a lot of complications outside my control. I get a lot of email about the book — people really seem to want it — so now that we’re nearing a place where we can come back and actually get issues out on a monthly basis, we’re going to see how it goes. The second arc kind of completes the story that started in volume one, but it’s really dependent on how well the new issues do whether or not we’ll continue on past that point. It’s been gone a long time, and I’m not delusional or anything – people hate that kind of mess and they may not be wiling to give us a second chance.

  3. I still have a piece of Nowhere Men OA and have no idea what to do with it....probably be more of a pain to ship it off than what I would get for it.

What page do you have? Is it one of the Nowhere Men vs the Chicago Bulls pages?!

  4. Copy and paste from Millar's website forum

Jupiter's Legacy is two volumes. The first volume concludes with the extra sized issue 5 and the second volume will likewise be five issues. We're starting book two in late Autumn of this year, banking pretty much the whole series so we can go monthly, which all 2015 Millarworld books are. It's literally risk free if all the issues are lying in a drawer an simply released every four weeks. No delays is going to be delicious.

Details of the prequel series, which we're running between these volumes, will be released at the end of this week. I'm so excited about this book. It's at least as good as the sister title and I can't wait to get it out there. It's set a generation back and is another big epic, this one set in the time when the parents of the people in Jupiter's Legacy are all young. Mad Men meets Super-Friends is a nice summary.

  5. Right now I'm rereading and catching up on the whole run. I don't remember catching this funny sketch in trade #6. It's page #14 in the sketch book section.

It's funny as :censored:!! The page is on the right side. Sketch is on bottom right of the page. It's Ottley being funny at very serious moment in the book.

  6. I think this is everything..... Probably forgot something.
