  1. This is the Oakland copy of 162, and the last Dr. Strange cover I have scanned from my slabbed collection:
  2. Here are a few Dr. Strange covers. First up is 148:
  3. Weird, I was the last person to post in that thread and that was over a year ago. It already exists.
  4. And here is the last silver age FF or at least the last issue from the '60s:
  5. Sure, but why not start a Tales of Suspense collecting thread. I'd certainly like to see one and would probably participate.
  6. I don't know, but I don't mind mine seeing all the ages as X-Men does just that. Perhaps this thread would be better suited in comics general, but the threads in that forum that get attention, for whatever reasons, tend to focus on comic politics (eBay scams, undisclosed resto, etc.) or address very specific questions.
  7. Nice Tales. I wonder if he uniformly stopped endorsing his books in June 1964, as your books suggest?
  8. Let's leave this thread as a positive one. This is a monumental occassion, many years in the making. Even more curious...why do you care?
  9. I have followed your ups, downs, frustrations and successes on these boards, and wanted to express my congratulations. You have accomplished a collecting feat that is unmatched and, at least to me, unfathomable. My advice is to take a well earned break, bask in your deserved glory and when the dust settles write your story (if you haven't already- less the final chapter of course).
  10. Big shout out to Backlo for any easy transaction and a sweet looking fury 15 graded 9.4.
  11. I agree. A copper forum is needed. We don't need to state a specific time frame, although, as I stated before there is nothing wrong with Overstreet's designation. We just need the forum and the time frame can work itself out naturally.
  12. This is actually why I brought up the question. Overstreet's determination is as good as anyone else's and to avoid needless or at least endless debate, I thought cgc should just add a forum for discussion of the Copper age as designated by Overstreet. 1992 in my opinion is definately a good stopping point. While sales may still not have plummeted, their was a definite shift in marketing that presents itself as a perfect comic era threshhold. As for the ending of bronze, I am not so sure, but 1984 is fine with me. Thoughts?
  13. Just curious if there are any plans to add a Copper Comics section to the forum. Is CGC resisting this new classification? Is it just something that will take time? Is it pointless? Thoughts? thanks
