    I remember the big hype with issue #1. It was printed on BAXTER paper. #2 is cool. I think they made a second print that was included in those 3-comics in a baggie deal.

    That's exactly what I do...I have around 10.000 comics and have an entry for each with the price I paid and another with the OS value.. of course I should update that one every year...but I only do it for the 500 or so most valuable Are you just using an Excel spreadsheet or do you have an inventory type program for doing this?

    I had about 20k in equity for my comics. Most were purchased in the mid/early 80's at cons, esp SDCC.

    My collection was worth $92k (well, that's what my insurance compay gave me for the GA/SA comics that were stolen from me). I truly doubt I'll be able to pickup all the books I lost in the grades that they were purchased in, but it seems like a fun "new" project for me.

    Just caught the 1950's comedy starring William Bendix called, Kill the Umpire on TCM on cable. The daughter was reading a Captain Marvel comic while sitting on the couch.
