  1. So I should probably fast track unless I'm ok with lik a 3-6 month wait.

Apparently moderns are now getting back in about 5 calendar weeks without FT. I just had an invoice ship that quick, and lately they're doing better than FT economy or value despite the posted TATs.

Yup, looks like they're moving fairly quickly. Based on the dates i'm tracking on my Modern Non-FT submission, I'm currently at about 25 business days from Received to QC.

  2. That's what she said...

    lol sorry couldn't help myself.

That was my same reaction when i got my scanner. I had it shipped to my office. It was an enormous box that barely fit in my little coupe. It took up about half my desk, but once I started scanning I was amazed.

  3. The new jewel of my collection: (thanks to Adam Estrella for getting this one done by the actors)

  6. Hi all-

I have been considering purchasing a legal sized filing cabinet but am wondering how you guys that have them already are dividing the middle of the drawers to create two rows?

    Thanks for any advice!

I used 3/8" foam board to line the drawer and divide each drawer into two rows. If you scroll back a few pages you'll see my cabinet.

I have a lateral legal size cabinet. I divided it into two rows going left to right. If I were to do it again, I would have gone front to back. Front to back would make it easier to go thru comics.

You can find some cool deals for cabinets on Craigslist. I paid $40 for my cabinet.

  7. Slow boat economy (non fast track) from SDCC. Arrived today.

  9. My comics were marked as graded and then I checked an hour later to find that their is no information or history of my submission?? What's going on?

it happens from time to time, I can't currently view my submission status either.

Yup same here. Wouldn't get too worried about it. A few weeks ago everyone's graded status went back to "scheduled to be graded" then back to graded in a span of about 24-48hrs.

  10.

I'm just a "free" member, so it looks like I'll just have to keep waiting until they show up. Thanks for letting me know you submitted at the same time, and are still waiting for them as well, that reassures me that it's not sitting lost in the system someplace. Patience is a virue! (an in-joke for Michael Golden art collectors) :)

    Dave

No prob. I'll post again if the status changes. I'm hoping/guestimating to have them in hand somewhere around first week of November. :wishluck:

  11.

I don't know what to do with myself, another status update! :headbang:

Five Modern Signature Series dropped off at Baltimore Comic-Con on Sept 7

    Marked Received on Sept 11

    Marked Verified on Oct 9

For items dropped off at conventions, where do you go to check on "Received" and "Verified" statuses? I'm a (near) complete newb, and I'd like to check on the status of a comic I dropped off at San Diego Con on July 20th. Any links, or guestimates on when I would get a (standard modern) comic returned appreciated.

    Dave

People that know the status of their submissions have accounts and submitted their books under their accounts. If you have an account and submitted under your account, you should see your invoices under "Submission Tracking" on the member home page.

I also submitted books at SDCC:

    Marked received: 7/22

    Verified shortly after.

Scheduled for grading: some time during the week of 9/16

    Graded: 9/23

They've been sitting at graded since.

  12. Ken, it was a pleasure talking to you at the YesterYear Comics signing yesterday. Very surprised you remembered me from SDCC. I'm happy with all the prints I got from you. Now once I have my comic book room setup, I'll have plenty of Todd prints to rotate them out once a month. Thanks again.

JerryAmsterdam, pleasure meeting you as well. Glad to put a face to the name, since Mike always mentions you.

  13. Here's a bit of repurposing.

I found a filing cabinet on craigslist that was in good condition but the paint was falling off so figured i'd give it a bit a character. Unfortunately I didn't take a full before picture. Didn't think to take one until I took the cabinet apart. Went thru the 25cent bin at a couple local shops. After a few hours of work, I ended up with this:
