Harry Potter first appeared in Books of Magic #1.
Oh Wait...

Had a look around at the local shop at some of the Transformers variants.
They definitely don't order 50 copies of the books anymore.
Did find some of the latter issues from other runs sandwiched between 2 boxes though, like they were trash.

Platt's an interesting guy.
He was at our Fan Expo here a couple years ago. He wasn't too busy, so I got to chat with him a bit, and got him to start a sketch. He said he had started by going to some famous Advertising School, and then somehow got in to comics after he had finished there, because his strength was in illustration. He doesn't do much with comics now because he keeps quite busy with film work. I believe he did the layouts for the opening credits for the Ninja Turtles Movies, and some stuff for Godzilla, and various others. He didn't finish the sketch at the show, and I ended up getting the finished piece about 18 months later.

That Venom cover is nothing special. Glad I passed.

Gotham City Sirens #1 is off to the races
Any particular reason? Saw it slowly creeping back up...
Some overlooked covers in that series.
They confirmed the movie today.
However, I fully recommend the book regardless, because it's really enjoyable.
Paul Dini writing makes for a really fun read, and I really like March's art.

I don't know how many dozens of Zatanna sets I have at this point.
Which is probably no surprise.
-
Mine haven't shipped yet.

If the entire print run had its couch , will there be some leniency in grading 9.8s?
-
Mine haven't shipped yet, so I imagine I'm getting the trash left at the end

Considering how many people try to discuss books "heating up" under dubious circumstances, I'm not surprised people are wanting to "Red Team" books now.
Especially store variants.

Posted these in the SS forum, but wanted to add to the thread.
One of his better looking Spider-Man drawings, too.

This thread is worthless. Unsubscribing.
Your two posts in this thread will be remembered forever.
Zing !!

Saw this poster on the train in last night's episode. I doubt it means we are going to see Zatanna anytime soon, but it could just be a fun easter egg.

Get me a Zatanna Breh. I saved your life that time in Seattle. You didn't see it, but there were snipers.

You do know that spiders don't have their venom in their saliva, right...? And you do know that spiders don't even HAVE saliva, right...?
You do know we're talking about a fantasy world correct? *waits for the page of text*
..which makes the idea that his saliva is "venom" even more absurd, because none of the people creating Venom stories has ever portrayed it that way. See how that works...?
And who is "we"...? Do you have more than one personality rattling around in your head...?
*waits for yet another silly comment*
He could be making a joke, as Venom would refer to himself as "we".

His Zatanna run was pretty short, only 5 issues, so that doesn't help.
14 is the only one that is kind of .
11, 13, 15 and 16 are all terrific with 15 probably being the most popular.
It's a perfect counter piece to Powergirl #2.

So it looks like the "secret" variant is a virgin cover. Works for me. Thank god it's not a reverse negative.
+1

He may be upset about Marvel pulling his cover, and looking to do more work for DC
-
That is smashing.

So many great covers in the Wonder Woman run.
Some of his Powergirl covers already command a nice premium.
Moderns that are heating up on ebay!

Definitely couldn't have been 1:100.
All the shops I found it at would never have ordered anywhere close to 100 of this book.
