  1. If I get time I may add some more books to the thread today. My most recent set of the Spidey books before this one went for $575 on ebay. That said, I'm always open to offers and discussion. Happy Monday!
  2. I added individual photos for the backs of each since the scans didn't show up great for the backs.
  3. More info here: https://taint-the-meat.com/2017/01/16/marvel-mini-books/ An excerpt from the above site: "..they were acknowledged by the Guinness Book of World Records as the smallest comic books ever published. Secondly, the covers came in six different colours — blue, red, orange, green, yellow and pale green — which makes them one of the earliest examples of variant cover marketing that are now common place in the industry. And lastly, keen-eyed reader’s will spot the appearance of a certain caped superhero at the end of the Spider-Man story, a full decade before the official Superman vs Spider-Man team-up of 1976." ----------------------------------- Each book is contained in a stamp size mylar pouch, attached with archival photo-rated mounting squares onto to a Silver size 60 pt Comic Pro Line clear backer board so both sides are easily viewable. The set was then placed inside a Silver age Mylites2 mylar, then into a Golden age toploader with a dust protector on the top edge, and lastly into a photo-rated clear bag. Probably the closest thing you're going to see to a CGC Slab of the full sets of these books at one time. Sorry any reflections in the photos - they are very reflective in direct light, much like a slab. The back scans are not super crisp - for some reason my scanner does not like to scan through the clear layers on the back sides. Let me know if you need any other photos/scans. All books appear to be unread/unopened. The bindings are known to be very fragile and well-loved and these are very nice copies. Display stand not included. Let me know if you have any questions. 4. I've been buying and selling on the forums since 2013 and other online marketplaces since 1999. See kudos link in my signature for references. Shipping double boxed via USPS Priority Mail is FREE to the USA. Sorry, no international shipping at this time. Payment via PayPal due within 24 hours of claiming. A goods and services invoice to pay from will be sent to your email address. No people on any Hall of Shame or Probation Lists. I reserve the right to not sell to anyone I don’t feel comfortable selling to - whether they be on a list, they have a poor reputation of not paying, history of scamming others online etc. This has never had to happen so far - just a friendly note to cover myself. No returns unless I happen to have missed something, and we can work it out. I don't foresee that happening but I try to be easy to work with and practice the Golden Rule in general. First posted in the thread by timestamp claims an item. Enough of the fine print..

  7. Picked up an upgrade to my tiny Seal Junior 70 press over the weekend! Plate and pad both in great shape. Working well. Original owner from 1978 with paperwork. Estate sale find. The house had tons of other cool photography equipment, but the place was a madhouse full of people. I grabbed this beaut and got out.
  8. I personally think it's a LOT better than Templesmith's style, which I don't really like. Dept of Truth is more messy with spray paint off-spray, splatters, and chalk line type stuff that adds to it... vs. I view Templesmith's as more distracting. I agree Ben T. is probably the closest thing someone might readily be able to compare it to.. but far different and better IMO.
  9. Sounds about right. If ordering 50 - 75 the shop would have likely had the A & B cover, the 1:10s, 1:25s, 1;50 and the secret variant that was ratio'd about 1:10 with cover A. They might have ordered 100 to get the 1:100 variant as well.
  10. yeah, a lot of the variants are focused on her. We will see what happens!!
  11. I wouldn't say it's "ruined" the book but seems Tynion is likely riding the wave of his recent rise to comic "fame" and the increased demand for his books. Plus there were a TON of industry people tweeting about how great their sneak peak of #1 was for the months before release. If each retailer has say 500 or 1,000 copies of their variant(s), that of course adds to the print runs. If the 100k ish I heard is accurate, that's really not all that crazy with all the variants. I think the first print of East of West #1 and Saga #1 both had about 50k. So roughly double those. But it may not be very difficult to find a copy of the A or B cover for some time

  14. #1 just came out this Wednesday. It's a fantastic read and I was shocked there wasn't a thread here for the book yet. Lots of store and incentive variants and supposedly a 100k print run with everything. Anybody else pick this up? I'm definitely hooked. https://imagecomics.com/comics/releases/the-department-of-truth-1
  15. Yeah, I think on a submission earlier this year I got the images on the same day as the books!

  17. I actually created the displays. Thank you for the compliment. I have some notes about the process up above, if interested. Thanks for stopping by!
  18. No worries! Yeah, send me a PM if you'd like or I'll do so if I think of anything. It would be cool to see them too.
