  1. That certainly goes to the top of the list for most undeserving characters with an iconic homage cover!
  2. I use it to pick up first appearances of people I have never heard of! Let’s see…the last take I did in this thread was for the 1st Terminus and this one is for Blink or Bink or someone.
  3. You’re right, what do I know….. I am sure it will move to the highest levels of priority for them.
  4. A lot of things fall into certain jurisdictions, it doesn’t mean they have time to handle it or to make it a priority. Do you realize the number of scams that go on that make this peanuts? There are movies and there is real life. The more information CGC can provide showing who did it and how, the more likely a response will happen. Edit: Where did you pick up the term “calling them in?” They are not the Pinkertons of the 1800’s. Yes, if it’s a reportable crime, report it. They will decide from there.
  5. CGC is going to have to figure out how to deal with those that were scammed and many that fear they were, even if it’s not the case (no pun).
  6. If he tried to be a shill, it would be obvious by the first 5,000 word post. Agreed, that’s not his style. If he types something, he wants you to know it’s from him. Lol
  7. You don’t just “call in” the FBI. Even if something falls into their jurisdiction, they have to decide to run with a case based on their internal guidelines, priorities, and manpower. A couple million dollars is pocket change compared to a lot of crimes out there. It doesn’t mean local police or another agency wont pick it up, but the more info CGC can learn first, the better.
  8. They may not have adequate information saved to help AI grade yet, but with the amount of grading they do, they could start capturing it today. Within 6 months to a year, they would have a massive amount of data for it to learn from.
  9. You set me up, so I have no choice but to post this now.
  10. Oh, Roy doesn’t think I can grade? Where is that Edgar Church - Superman # 1…. I will show him! * mocking you using AI brings me a weird sense of joy. This will be my last one though. Most likely.
  11. As humans we have made machines to travel the world by land, air, or sea and to fly to the moon. Sadly though, we reached the limits of our capability when trying to design a machine to handle a comic book.
  12. That’s not his intended design purpose though. I got lost in this thread a while back so I may have missed the key points. Is it your opinion that we don’t have the tech, either by hardware or software to do it, or it’s just not cost effective?
  13. Ahhhhhh…. Teeth guard for grinding but I was very surprised it was by photos and not gel.
  14. I did? Now I’m lost…. All I said is that there are programs and equipment made to capture hundreds of images and splice them together into a final product. In the dental example, it is capable of making a perfect mold that fit around teeth perfectly for that person. That is impressive. Scanning a comic book seems less impressive but that’s just an opinion.
