  3. Hahahah woah those are fighting words to some.
  4. Joe recently purchased a few older X-Men books from me and the transaction was smooth! Thank you again!
  5. There's no way that book has been sought after ever since it came out and extremely hard to come across in 9.8's.
  6. So, a few things....when this change of label affects the grade, it further complicates the grading criteria of all books, which should be consistent. How do we determine the 'penalty' from what the grade is other than guessing maybe the book is a 8.5? Let's say I have a regular unsigned different comic that's a 6.5, compare it to that Maxx 6.5 and wonder why the grades/conditions don't match up. Second point, the seller is clearly miss-representing buyers by stating this is the highest graded, which is totally false. If this was a Maxx Black that wasn't signed by Keith, it would be a blue label. I don't see the label change all that much on other books, maybe once before. It seems common on MAXX Ashcans and I have three of them which I'm sending back to be green labels. I purchased them as blue labels and tbey don't fit the rest of my set as blue labels. It would be pretty hard to compare another 6.5 book to a MAXX ashcan 6.5 book. The Ashcans are pretty different from regular comics... from the cover, interior pages etc. Yes, the seller is misrepresenting the book.
  7. They treat them as "writing on the cover" instead of signature on a cover. Since Kieth's signature is pretty large, I would think it's a pretty significant hit. That book is probably an 8.5 green label?
  8. He opted to take the blue label and take a lower grade than have the green qualified label... it may be highest blue label?!? Which is dumb
  9. Here's a couple to add to your list: Hero Comics 2011 Lady Rawhide #3 (the special edition is the same cover as Zorro 3) Legion of Super-Heroes Archives vol.4 Maze Agency #3 Calibre Maze Agency TPB Vampirella Pin-Up Special #1 Vampirella Death & Destruction #2 Vampirella/Shi #1 Your list has already been made... http://comicbookinvest.com/2015/02/12/adam-hughes-cover-gallery-checklist/
  10. I hadn't either... I've been on a Hughes kick and started looking at the website that has all of his covers. Went to a few LCS's today and picked up that one with several different WW's. Picked it up for $2 and on eBay it's easily $45+.
  11. That book isn't a 9.8... the top staple had spine ticks all around it if you zoom in.
  12. I think you already answered your question. So it's the exact same book. Wonderful. How often does this sort of thing happen? I assumed a con exclusive meant just that. It does happen... I've been burned a few times as well. I've started to wait a few months after a con and they show up graded on eBay for much less...
  13. I was about to bid on both, then the 70 went over $400. Nice job Hector!
  14. I won't... I just purchased a newly graded CBCS 9.8, in hopes to crack and let CGC grade. No way I am cracking that book because there are two light color breaking spine ticks. I have the same book with CGC and it's a clean 9.8. I'll be flipping it once the movie comes out.
  15. I remember when this happened every day Haha this is true
  16. 66 posts from the last time I looked... can someone fill me in what we are arguing over now?!?
  17. He has an ugly signature for such an amazing artist.
  18. How is Marvel doing a good job with falling new comic sales? I should have made that more specific. Comic sales are falling and will continue to fall for Marvel. Especially with their choices. They are taking the "long approach" trying to appeal to new audiences. Maybe the late 70s for DC for be a good somewhat comparison. Same approach in their movie choices. You really cant blame them as a business. I am sure Disney is pushing them to branch out. Let's be honest, as long as the movies keep making $$$ for Disney and WB, the comic sales do not matter. All they have to do is publish the bare minimum to maintain their property rights and that is it. True they have no desire to increase just maintain currently. I can't wait for another remake spider-man movie...
