    No one can complain about 15 or 16 points. That's only 1 point off the final grades for each comic. I would consider that excellent grading. Send these comics back in a second time for grading and you easily could have 7-8 points.

    I also thought the grade was high because of the color scrape across the mid-to-lower front cover.

    I think the scratch is a scratch. If you take a look at the encapsulated comic, it's still there. It's not just glare. If it was glare in the before picture it shouldn't be in the encapsulated picture. If you look at other encapsulated ASM 300s you won't see this. At least I didn't when I looked at a bunch. Given how uniform the scratch is it may be a production flaw. I don't think I have ever seen this type of scratch. Graders probably haven't either and decided not to take off much for it. Since we can't look at the notes we don't know if this flaw was pointed out. Oh well, on to Round #3.

    Mike, if you add up all the people who gave the ASM #300 grades from 4.5 to 7.5 (all considerably less than the 9.2 it got) you have 113 or almost 1/3 of the entrants. There should be some explanation on how this book got such a high grade with a scratch on the spine that breaks color on almost 3/4 of the book. Just asking.
