Not many mainstream books really excite me these days---HOWEVER----this is the one to pick up. There's innuendo online that it's sold out already---albeit, I never understood how something could be "sold out" before it hits the shelves. But my LCS did warn me that I should grab multiple copies because they are expecting to clean out, and there is a great amount of buzz behind the book right now. BATMAN: WHITE KNIGHT #1 by Sean Gordon Murphy. Batman & Joker role reversal---here's some more on the book---most here probably are already aware of the title, but it's going to beat Dark Night Metal IMHO. But this----THIS is what sells you. Murphy says, "We know the Joker is a genius, we know he's relentless, and we know he can play the crowd, so why not make him a politician?" Murphy asks. "Frank Miller modeled him after David Bowie. Welcome to my October Pre-Sale thread----lots of great stuff to announce as we roll through the month. Many thanks to everyone who took part in the September pre-sale thread, of which 10% of all proceeds go to Hurricane Harvey relief. As with all my previous monthly pre-sale threads, all books are pre-screened and culled from the finest 9.8 candidates. The costs associated with each post is indicative of all expenses from cost of book, my time, any signature related fees, any pressing that may need to be introduced to bring it from borderline 9.6 to a full blown 9.8, shipping costs anywhere USA door to door, CGC invoicing fees, etc. I'll be posting ops for books that are physically in hand and pre-screened for 9.8 standards, as well as posting for books that may not have shipped yet, but because due to limitations of availability, I always need to get my orders in EARLY so as to ensure that I have enough for everyone, as well as some extra either for inventory or to make sure that everyone gets exactly what they ordered. My goal is to deliver 9.8 graded signature series books, prices listed inclusive of all costs associated with the op right down to shipping. Prices associated with each post is all inclusive of all costs right down to shipping anywhere USA. Outside the U.S., I charge additional based on weight of the box. I've been asked "Can you guarantee a 9.8?" I can guarantee that I won't be shipping you out a 9.6 , if that helps answer that question. I'm not a professional grader (meaning I don't get paid to grade, but I've got a really good eye), and I've been doing this for 15 years and I'm pretty good at what I do. My reputation speaks for itself. That being said, anything can happen----a book could get damaged, a box lost, it's not an exact science but I am more than happy to grant full refunds if you're not satisfied or you can return the book. If anything goes wrong on my end, I'll call you directly to discuss which way you want to roll----credit, a discount, a different book or a full refund. I don't typically have a return policy for pre-sales since you are requesting an item/order specific with full disclosure of what you will be receiving. I sold 50/50 something in a pre-sale thread, and like most of my out of the U.S. customers, I wait till the books are back before charging shipping. The item itself was paid for, but not shipping. I've tried email and PM with no response, as well as sending him a shipping invoice via paypal. Is it possible that something may have happened to him?

Earlier this week I was talking about DARK ARK #1 ---- and honestly, if you haven't checked this out yet, it's well worth your time. The concept of a "dark" Noah creating an ark to save the monsters of the earth during the Great Flood is awesome. Sold out and heading for a 2nd printing. I've got a limited number of these Baltimore Comicon Convention exclusives available----the "official" BCC exclusive is a Phil Hester variant (below). Print run somewhere in the 300-500 copy range. What I looked at was a little rough, I went through a good 75+ cps to pick solid 9.8 candidates. I've got five (5) cps available, possibly a few more if they're not sold out this morning. A quick update----Val Kilmer has supposedly cancelled Monster Mania. This is a rumour, I have no confirmation yet, but if you want to send books still, feel free. Better to have them and not need them. Monster Mania is in ONE WEEK. In two weeks, NYCC. I need books in hand by Sept.30th. Also, mentioned in another thread, I am taking subs for Paul Pope. Cost is $115 per book, covering all expenses associated, add $25 for his artist signature with a small remark.

Here's another book I have to push and get behind---it was hands down the best book this week. From Skybound, GASOLINA #1 by Sean Mackiewicz and Niko Walter----1st printings are already sold out and the book is back to press for a 2nd print. I picked this up on a whim yesterday morning, the cover is what drew me to the book. I read it cover to cover, and was really impressed by the story and the art. It's a little bit Narcos, a little bit Chronos---if Breaking Bad was a horror thriller, this would be it. From the solicitation body copy: Fugitives. Rebels. Newlyweds.
