  1. Sandman is my personal favorite series, and the sandman related offshoot material is counted as part of that. The material is not the person. You can love the work, and make zero judgement on the accused.
  2. Ah, I see I posted in early may. Yep, could have used a pm at some point as I was not checking thread. My 1st pm from jordy is from today, 2 hours ago.
  3. This was odd. I definitely never received an email. Why didnt you send an invoice at some point? I check the boards almost every day, and as far as I can remember had zero reason to check this thread.
  4. The sub of X-Men 174s and Dazzlers, under high value tier is just an impossible leap. Those normally $10 books are not books anyone would sub in that way. This is a for profit gift to a pre arranged party. And this latest issue was found by someone just poking around half asses. Would it be any surprise if this is just a 1% of the issue. Years back, when Mcdonalds ran a monopoly game, every high end winner was doled out by a party who did not have safeguards in place to ensure fair distribution, so the game was rigged for personal profit. CGC does not have safeguards in place at the level of US mint, but more to the level of when you were an employee in 80s at Toys R Us and at end of shift, pockets were filled with packs of cards as you walked out. Err, so I hear. If there was a true forensic accounting of the 9.9s and 10.0s, I am sure based on what little we see, there are shenanigans at play.
  5. My vintage bulk comic grading, received 8/1, shows Shipped as of today! Huzzah, merriment abounds. Mini cherubs holding hands are dancing in circles above my head. I dare say, the clouds even look a bit poofier normal. Little over 2.5 months, but all good things to those who wait.
  6. Vintage bulk grading, under the july special. Large lot received as 8/1, and was SFG all the way until yesterday, when it finally went G/E/I. I am ok that it appears my lot is on the slower than 46 working day as listed, and I believe slower than other vintage bulk grading lots listed in this thread, as at least now I see lot has moved. As long as books are graded without major newton ring,or banana bend issues, a (more than) few extra days on vintage books is fine.
  7. Weird, my vintage bulk received before yours, is still at sfg. This is not a 1st in 1st out from same apples to apples category situation but rather luck of draw.
  8. New Mutants 98 Wrinkling on front cover, could probably use a press Good entry level copy $200 shipped
  9. My lot of vintage bulk was entered Aug 1st. It has remained at sfg with no movement since. If the posted 46 business days for vintage is correct, it should be done soon. More likely, the posted 46 business days, will just go to 50 something days. Btw, when I submitted lot, it was 24 business days.
  10. Peter Porker Spiderham 1 2 Marvel Tales 1 VFNM lot $45
  11. Marvel Age 41 $5 Wonder Woman 1 NM $15 Sandman 8 F/VF $30 1st Death
  12. Thread has a florida centric focus, 1st post being about Tampa being overpriced. Then video showing Megacon being Mega overpriced. Not so fast, if I may plug a show. Make your way to an old school show, Daytona CC coming up 9/7-9/8, run by a super long time comic dealer, you will see more quality and quantity of comics, than at either of the 2 other florida shows. And realistic market prices, how about that for a change of pace. Show is wall to wall 50+ comic vendors, admission is $10, vendors have affordable booth costs so they can pass along way better pricing than Tampa or Mega where they are slammed with expenses and have to recoup with markups. Not my show and I do not get anything for giving a shoutout, but cmon, why not show love to actual old school comic show.
  13. Ok, that video is nuts. You would think the dealers, knowing they are being featured on a video, would put their best foot forward. Of the books featured, UF 4 9.6 being offered at 3x gpa, Hulk 2 at 2x gpa, Avengers 1 4.0 at only 20% above gpa but has the most washed out color I have seen. But definitely the only one where ,maybe you could negotiate a fair deal. IH 181, 2x gpa. And shortboxed offering a 2nd app of Ghost Rider at 10x gpa winning the most overpriced offering of the day and maybe of the entire show floor...
  14. Marvel spotlight 28 double cvr $375
  15. Uncanny X-Men 266 1st Gambit $90.00 9.0/9.2 with pressable defects
  16. Wolverine 1 $15.00 Book is 9.4+ - is pressable but it has tanning on back cover otherwise I would price it much higher.
  17. I've been sick to stomach about a box i sent last Wednesday. 25 cgc slabs from Florida to Texas, for lone star consignment. Sent priority mail insured, $90 postage. Was supposed to get there by last friday. So 6 days late, but I do see update this morning that it made it to Arlington, TX so ... better late than never.
