Good luck with the CGC grades! Are you selling them or planning to hold them for a while?

When it was $1999, I but in an offer of $1250. No counteroffer; just a straight-up decline. I am wondering if they really are interested in selling or just looking to have the most expensive HQ lot on eBay???

I agree. I do not think it will be that easy to score a 9.8 from the looks of the raws I have seen. Not impossible, but not likely the census will shoot up that much for 9.8. I expect there will be lots of pressing though...

Received 4 Modern Value books in mail yesterday (10/22) that were submitted at Boston Comic Con (8/3). 3 9.6's and 1 9.8 (yeah!).

Mangbus: What kind of copy are you looking for? CGC or Raw? Grade? I have 3 graded copies (9.4, 9.6 and 9.8) and could maybe part with one, but as you know, they are not cheap. I acquired them all in the last 2 months so my costs in are not sub $5. If interested, PM me.

FoolK: Totally agree with the sustainability challenge and only time will tell. Good news is that more people are aware of the book and character, and hopefully interest=demand.

As one of the guys around here looking to buy a BA#12 (CGC 9.8), I can tell you that Shap is completely right that there is almost no one looking to sell this comic. Even at prices as high as $700. As long as demand and interest continues to grow (and not wane), this book will have to go up in value in order to get more 9.8 owners to come out and play. If one of them desires some other KEY book and can start to view their BA#12's as a means to get an even more expensive book, they may start to go up for sale at a more frequent pace but ONLY at big time $$$. My two cents...

Are you saying that CGC is working today even though it's Columbus Day (holiday)? If so, that's impressive and encouraging!!

What's Harley's official 2nd appearance? Could be like Deadpool's 2nd appearance (X-force 2) and not see much action, although should be much more scarce.

I have a BA#12 SS CGC 9.4 and a straight-up Blue CGC 9.6 and also wonder if I should sell one. Not sure how much either would fetch. I bought them both in the last month. I agree there seems to be legs with this book. I also recently purchased a VF+ Batman Family #6 (1st Joker's Daughter) and wonder if that book will follow BA#12 in terms of market demand/increase.

2 quick questions: 1. Has anyone gotten any book back that were submitted at the Boston Comic Con? Or know where they stand in the process? 2. If your book was submitted at a Con and not under your own CGC membership number, how can you look at the status? When I try to use the on-line look-up, its states that "This invoice is owned by someone else." Do I have to call CGC to find out? Anybody have this situation before?

Does the grading department work weekends at CGC? Does anyone know? (Maybe they could catch up on their backlog if they did)...
