Well, with today's society someone might by offended by the word "retarded". Just sayin...
Nice book though. GLWTS

So, the print run for New Mutants #98 was large enough to give every man/woman/child in Akron, Ohio their own copy?
Interesting.
-T
Gotta move to Akron...
No, you really don't want to.
What happened to Akron? Dying town?
They all migrated to Miami 4 years ago. I don't doubt it one bit that they will return.

[font:Book Antiqua]I love to watch collectors invest in NM #98
Is almost the same fun as watching
lemmings jumping off cliffs...

Wow.
Probably one of the funniest things I've seen in quite sometime.

I just sold mine for 725 at the con!
300+ profit? I couldn't say no

Eh...why not, great books.

If it reaches 1k I'm very tempted to unload mine and use it to fund a silver age key.
This +1
Wouldn't even think twice about it.
Nope, not me. I have both the regular and UPC version (both in 9.8) and it never even crossed my mind to sell them even if it hits $1K.
NM 98 is one of my favorite book. Just can't imagine my collection without it.
***Note to self...need to post a picture of them together.
***Follow up...
Sorry about the crappy picture. I'm too lazy to buy a good camera .
So here are some of my favorite "1st" issues. Still need to get the Iron Fist #14 35 cent version and the Spider-man 300 UPC verson.
I do indeed like your style there my friend:)

Just got mine back... Original copy I bought and read back when it came out! I guess if I hadn't read it, it may have been better!
Congrats! Nice copy for an OO.
True dat! Don't c a whole lot of OO copies in high grade.

Prices are skyrocketing now, has me thinking
Sell u my 9.8 for 1K...?
Just kidding.
I bet it won't be long before that price actually becomes a legit selling price.
-
Well...obviously NM 98's are flying away off the charts.
-
I really think 9.8's will catch up with ASM #300 in 9.8 and sell for a grand or more.
Ditto that!
with nearly 1,000 more 9.8's on the census. why?
The insane speculation bubble we're in now.
This book is in a perpetual bubble that just keeps defying all logic. Everyone keeps saying its only a matter of time before it bursts, but it just keeps going. This has been happening for years. It could get worse/better, (depending on who has them and who doesn't) if the movie is actually good.
*Thinking...
Have there been movie titles that effected the comic in a negative standpoint?
I hope it's a good movie. Not just because of the comic values, but in all honestly I really think this movie can be done bad *spoon* if the right people get involved.

I don't recognize any of these names!
Did they do art for those two Charmin publishers? If so, I probably flushed them.

I'm bored at work, I just wanted to stir something up for fun
I do agree it's neat to see over the years who people like and which books they collect.
Many 3X and younger do collect the older ages, but I committed myself to this small piece of early 90s. (Which everyone hates ... except me)
I would find something else better to do at work

I knew someone was going to quote it...
Very nice haul indeed. Very cool bromance covers too.

Great BookHer heiny isn't anywhere near as large as it is now.

Got a bit of a strange one through today!
It's a book with the original British comics inside!
Some nice pick ups there.

Wish I had a scanner. Pic doesn't do this high grade Steranko justice.

Sweet 9.2!!
I might be taking my raw copy to the LCS later to sell or trade. Mine is only a Low-Mid grade.

What's better to get; this series or the other series?
Which is pricier?
