  1. Woof indeed, love the artist, hate that style. Here's hoping I can walk away with a regular cover for that issue. Then again I need to catch up with this series in the first place. I think I'm way back on like, issue 15 haha.
  2. I wasn't a big fan of the art(the linework was ok but the colors were bugging the out of me) but the story seems ok. I wasn't too high on the premise to begin with so I'll probably wait until the first arc is collected to give it a real go.
  3. What a killer issue. I wish I was more of a MP fan because that print is killer and the stylization goes perfect with EoW. If it were a strictly EoW print I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
  4. I really enjoyed 2. I was a little lukewarm after 1 because nothing wow'd me, and I'm running out of room on my pull list, but I'm a believer in this title now.
  5. Issue 12 was so good but I finally have to go back and reread all the previous issues. I haven't yet but I'm starting to forget important details about solomon that made things a tad confusing still. Amazing read as always though.
  6. Not to mention however many copies people have gotten in the 35k humble bundle sale digitally. Even if only 1/3rd of donations beat the average to get them that's almost 12k copies of 1 and 2.
  7. Could've sworn 12 came out this week but it looks like it's now scheduled to come out may 21st.
  8. Issue 11 was pretty spectacular. Each issue makes me reconsider who my favorite character so far is between Chamberlin, The Ranger and Prince Freeman and now the Endless Nation may be competing.
  9. Great creative team, great concept. I'm certainly on board. Been excited since as soon as it was announced.
  10. Issue 3 was good, I'm really starting to like this book. It was suggested I think, that the older homeless man whom they were eating with had either molested or raped Marcus(as he had the flashbacks at being called a pretty boy) and that pushed him over the edge. Plus they were still on assignment to kill someone. Not sure what you're asking about the ghetto though.
  11. People don't come here to actually discuss comics, they come here to discuss investing and flipping comics. That said I'm really enjoying this book, but the fact that it's got 36 pages as compared to something like manifest destiny, which only has one more issue on it has 100 more is telling. Both books are enjoyable but one's got the potential to earn money and the other doesn't so of course people are going to talk about the profitable one more. Also doesn't help that with all the months in between each issue so far its easy to lose track of the overall story which doesn't help discussion either.
  12. Still waiting on Compendium reprints(if they are ever coming) and a 4th compendium before I would even consider dropping $46 on 6 issues. As much as I really love this book it doesn't do me much good to read 13-18 if I can't get my hands on the second half of the first set.
  13. I'd get a 9.0 for less than the price of a case if I really just wanted to have the single issue on a budget. Saves me time and hassle as someone who isn't big into the collecting scene nor has the money to do so, but still wants to have a copy of the book in decent condition for a long time.
  14. Its weird, I've read all four issues and I've enjoyed all four, but its always just an after thought in what I'm looking to get for the week and I can't ever really figure out why. It's got a creative setting, decent art and writing, but I guess the series for whatever reason doesn't feel like its going anywhere right now. I'll still ride out the first arc to see if that changes but its squarely for me right now. Maybe its just that each issue has just felt like its about what threat is around the corner so that might be whats boring me, its tough to put a finger on.
  15. I kept clicking your spoiler to read it and when it finally didn't work I went to quote it to read it only to realize there was nothing there
  16. I can't wait for the 3rd compendium to be restocked and the 4th one to be made. I've got 1 and 2 taunting me on my shelf as incomplete right now.
  17. the solicits lied to us mostly.
  18. Yeah, I'll second that. There's a ton of stuff I want to mention but I'm too lazy to get spoilers working right now. That and I don't want to tempt people who will probably be getting the issue by the end of today anyways. By tonight though, all bets are off.
  19. I read through it pretty damn quickly, so it probably deserves another re-reading, but man 18 was good.
  20. Ugh I can't wait for next Wednesday. All my family is from Louisiana(if the name didn't make it obvious) so The Kingdom and its mythos is by far the one I'm most interested in so I'm glad to see it'll at least be a sub plot in the coming issues. Plus Death and the Ranger finally meet.
  21. So here are some interesting quotes from an interview with Vaughan here http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=50441 "I don't want to say anything about #18 yet, but the six issues after it are going to be very, very different from anything that's come before. It's a story about money, among other subjects that terrify new parents." " We're already hard at work on #19, and it's a doozy. You're either going to think it was totally worth the wait or cancel your pull-list subscription on impact." "Fiona and I get option offers all the time, but I don't think the technology or financial model exists yet to realistically make "Saga" work as either a television series or a feature. I'm certainly open to being proven wrong though, especially if Paul Thomas Anderson is looking to adapt a pervy space fantasy for his next project. For now, I like comics way more than film and TV, so I'm happy for "Saga" to remain nothing but a lowly funny book."
  22. I thought this book was pretty good myself. The whole school of assassin schtik isn't terribly original but the art(especially the panels/layout) was top notch and remenders writing didn't bring the book down in any noticeable way. I'm on board for the first arc to see what direction the book takes.
  23. Ugh, missed it again. Really wanted that ghost print. Ah well, I'm sure there will be more great art again from this series down the road.
  24. I have no clue what type of print it is, since all it listed was 11x17 on 110lb board and obviously it doesn't have the prestige of a signed+ numbered print from fiona herself, but for $25 it was an easy choice to pull the trigger on the #18 cover.
  25. I wasn't sure I'd like this book, even after the first 2 issues but each issue is making me more and more a fan. I was just worried this was going to take a long boring cliche zombie route at the end of issue 2 but I'm so glad it didn't.
