  1. With the demand for both Black Science #2 & the fourth print of Sex Criminals #1 pushing prices up, my friend and I were pondering a few questions:

    1) How many titles have their most valuable issue be a non-first-print-#1 regular cover (excluding variants like RRP, FP, etc.)?

    2) Why doesn't this phenomenon happen more often? #1 2nd/3rd+ printings as well as #2 issues are usually far more rare than the #1 first prints, and yet it's the #1 first prints that usually command a premium.

I know the "1st appearance" aspect means a lot to collectors, but with print run knowledge becoming more available due to the internet, is anyone anticipating a shift in the market for these more rare issues?

You jumping the gun way too fast on these books. These books havent been out a month or more yet. Look back in a few months and look were they sit.

I sold my extras ASAP. Doubt they are selling like they used to for that one week, haven't check ebay recently.

  2. BUMP!!!

So just read 1-5, issues 1-3 I enjoyed A LOT. Issues 4-5 were confusing as heck, will re-read them slower, I guess I was rushing through 4 and 5. Will read issue 6 after that. Anyone else enjoying this series?

  3. The certificate should be slabbed, at least the one I saw, the comic is slabbed and the certificate is in the back inside the slab, visible to see.

The certificate is not slabbed. It's likely that the certificate was inside the slab sleeve.

Maybe that was it. Can't post pics, I do not own the comic, my LCS has it for sell.

  4. I have #1 raw copy, but haven't read it yet. Everyone talks about this series, what's so cool about it? Anyone know how long this will be on going for? 50 issues? more? any idea or proof of a "contract" guaranteeing a # of issues?

I need to pick up TBP vol 1 and jump in, would be cheaper than buying individual comics, ten again...I do prefer the comics over TBPs...
