  1. deservedly so...... That piece of "art" is likely going up in value as this thread continues. You might have the last laugh in selling it to an underground or erotic art collector for a profit and still railing on the "artists" lack of self control, self indulgence, petulance, immaturity and gall. It's definately a conversation piece that will not help his usual commision business IMO. If I ever see him at a con I'd consider asking him to do another self portrait so he could sit on it and spin.
  2. Wanted this GEM for a long time....Crippen copy from a boardie..Alanna...thx
  3. I don't care what you guys say....I still think it's a scary alien.
  4. his work needs to be made fully pubic....I meant public. touchet to the douchet
  5. I would list it up as a Bill Sienkiewicz "self portrait" and say priceless..... Then I'd call his agent, and I'd post this image in every single location that was possible. What a person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed.
  6. I know what you could wrap for a Chinese gift exchange.... Rick, you giggled a bit because you saw the irony....not because it was a cute puppy sketch.
  7. congrats on your upgrade....I found one of those in Florida of all places....love it.
  8. that's sweet.....really i mean it, my daughter would love it....
  9. I think it looks like a 7th grader drew this at the last minute before the assignment was due in art class... And what the hell is that supposed to be sticking out of the head? I have never been a fan of his artwork, and I agree you got a "leave me alone" sketch. Art is definately subjective, but there is a point where good is good, and bad is bad. Personally I never liked his stuff anyway....to abstract....in comic form it detracted from any story that existed IMO. Sorry you have a to be filed piece......I've heard that if you can trade it off to someone else for a different piece....an artist will get their talent back.
  10. great books scrooge.... I really need to start getting all the books in my runs filled out.

  20. Alright, go for it Comicdey. De-Slab away. Let's see what you come up with. You weren't being sarcastic were you? This brings up another point about Fox Giants that I've always thought about. Once CGC slabs a Fox giant, it's contents are lost forever unless it gets cracked open, right? So here's my suggestion to CGC: Hence forth when slabbing a Fox Giant (or any other Comic with remaindered books), list the contents of the interior on the outer label, which should include the remaindered book's Title, Issue Number(and Publishing date if possible). All that info is freely available to them from GCD, unless an issue is not indexed. Then I dunno. Any suggestions? But if the data is known, then I feel it is CGC's obligation to list it on the label since a Collector would like to know what's inside his book. Nope, I've wanted to see what's in side it for a long time and it's only a 6.0 or 6.5 anyway.
