This is a very cool gesture. I think it's a good sign for the thread that people aren't taking items just to take them. I think the free book is very cool but because its not something I collect I want to leave it available for someone who will truly appreciate it. Looks like others are doing the same. I would love to participate in this, but after reading all the rules and still seeing so much indescision, I'm worried that my offering wouldn't come close to what was received... I'm confused... Even if the preview was published first, wouldn't the one shot be the official first because it has more content? I get that first appearances are all the rage, but the beginning of a storyline seems to be more relevant to me.... But again, I'm not an expert by any means.

yea with a bit of googling i confirmed it as well... Generally the previews are considered first appearances. Not in this case though... cgc doesn't slab the one shot though right? will that mean it will be considered as 1st appearance? Yes. At this time an unslab-able 1st appearance. With the new grading company in the market, I'd imagine both will be slabbing treasury size soon. Competition breeds growth.... Yay breeding!!!

I still want the Treasury book. I'm really liking all of the non-superhero books coming out. I love me some tights, but I really got into The Wake, and I'm looking forward to this as well. I hope it continues as an ongoing. I think stories like this can really expand into its own universe. Look at the Halo universe. It's pretty damn in depth and it all started as a game. If this is done right I can see it moving forward for years to come like TWD. I just hope it has staying power and people drop it just because its "not hot". Like I've said before. I'm in this 50% investment, 50% for the stories and art. it's a win win.
