Here's what I think may drive the price further on Manifest Destiny: T.V. writer + Skybound book = Eventual T.V. speculation Plus the LBCC being 250 copies, the prices can go up very high on those ala Saga and East of West, though probably not quite that high.

I was happy to get a great looking 9.6 from a boardie a couple months back for just over that and couldn't be happier. Probably the closest I'll get to a #1 for a while.

When you put out 6 issues a year, you have to get as much as you can get out of those 6. A "variant cover" tpb huh... Seriously, they should've handed those out for free and apologized. I really like this book but it's a loooooongg wait

They are kinda boring, except the EoW covers. I think there's enough color/art, and the empty space is perfect for SS/sketches. The MP covers are off-putting to me, that's probably why I didn't buy it, because it wasn't intriguing enough and now I'm behind and regretting it. MP trades are on the way though, and soon I'll be caught up.

Why didn't DCBS have the Lee or the Miller variants listed? Don't really care about the Miller but I would've probably grabbed the Lee. Unless I missed something...

I wouldn't pay $50 for it. But it's as valuable as someone is willing to pay for it. Shoot I remember thinking that Puma was going to be big, and picking every early-Puma appearance (the first 3 issues or so) out of any cheap bin I could find them in - I probably have quite a few and may need to check some prices. Same here. I actually liked the character, and had hopes Marvel would take him down the path of a larger role. I just hate the name. When do the sidekicks Nike and Adidas appear?

Two questions: 1) Is comicopolis on ebay a trustworthy source for these, as they've seemed to have quite a few over last last few months, including a blue edition? 2) What are the tell-tale signs of real/fake copies of the gold?

I was extremely excited about AO before it came out, and then was pretty underwhelmed by it after loving the first two games. And it crashed my save when I was about 80% done with the game, not cool. It was a different dev as well.
