Yes. The one with the faceless man was genuinely horrific, even forty years after it was filmed, and I thought the ending of the episode with the time travelers on the roof, with the reveal of how they travel through time, was gut wrenching. I wish they'd made more episodes.

    Take note, Dr Who writers.

(Just in case anyone thinks the gentleman at the top of screen looks familiar but can't place him... it's a young Ducky).

I like them all - the 1930s murder mystery one is the weakest (the only one not written by creator PJ Hammond) but I'd be hard pressed to say which was my favourite out of the others since they're that good.

Agree, they're all very entertaining. The ones I thought stood out were The Railway Station and last story (I won't mention the DVD title as it gives it away).

I agree with this. The only reason I didn't vote for him was, I always thought the Question doesn't get the recognition he deserves, while Jon at least has the JL cartoon and was in it the entire run.

    He/she

    Oh, and Alfred IMO.

EDIT: Didn't realise it was a bumped thread.

What does it matter what they call it? Grading is BS anyway, made up and way too subjective. Everyone posts photos, look and decide for yourself. Besides all they are saying is that its in great condition when they say "unread". It's like saying a record looks "unplayed", it just means it's in really great condition.

What are the lazy people on ebay doing ?

I'm starting to see people listing the comics as unread as the grade.

UNREAD is not a comic grade.

Sad part is some of them are actually comic stores. How do they live with the shame ?rantrant Over

Even worse... The book is listed as NM/M and arrives with multiple defects. When you question the seller they say, "it can't have defects... it's unread" >:(

...You won't hear good things about it because there aren't any...

Worst Master ever. There's nothing worse than poorly acted crazy. The series ended where it began... Galling-frey. Shame because it could've ended on a (relative) high.

The Cybermen storyline was an improvement, but it was still a bit unimaginative and meh. I am happy to hear less from the pulpit, though.

I thought the storyline in The Haunting of Villa Diodati was very good. At least until the very end with the Cyberium. Before that both Praxeus and Can You Hear Me? started off well before going downhill. Definitely steps in the right direction. Ascension of the Cyberman had a bit of a retro feel to it, like they were remaking a Davison era episode. Nice to see the 80s style cyberheads again. It was marred by the whole flying the cybership nonsense though... but I guess you can't have everything. This series is a definitely improvement on the last, despite not being as good as anything that came before S11.

"Level 139. It's always been my favourite level"

    Yes, hasn't it just.

Just watched the first part of Ascension of The Borg, sorry, Cybermen on catch up. Whilst it has much to commend it as a programme in the visuals department, it still feels very un-Doctor Who like to me. It has a basic feel to it. A harshness. Almost nasty. There is no humour to speak of. No snappy dialogue. Nothing clever that I caught. Just straightforward story telling. The lead continues to underwhelm. " How is that possible?" she says. The companions continue to stand out for their sheer dull ordinariness, whilst displaying a knowlegde and practicality beyond their natural means. A few trips in the Tardis seems to imbue otherwise ordinary people with sudden inexplicable 'space awareness'.

I can't detect any link at all to the last time the Doctor, Masters and Cybermen caught up. Capaldi's last Cyber tussle doesn't seem to have left any mark on Whittaker. It's like that never happened. That was a clever one, the Capaldi finale. Humour, horrror, wit, ingenuity, memorable speeches. A regeneration rendering showdown. Where did all that go?

It is undoubtedly better than previous Chibera episodes, this latest one. But in my opinion, it all remains stubbornly not Doctor Who. I hear that the crew are on for a third series. So the wait, for me, goes on, alas.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're probably still not a fan.

But something's got you watching it again  hm

I'm not sure my complaints could be described as "consistent" but I'll give it a go ;)

Did I say you?? Did you see me single you out and state 'STOP BEING NEGATIVE'??

Now if you feel that way, then maybe you are taking this film more personal already than you should. The real secret sauce isn't out there yet as scenes from the film. If that trailer comes out and things look horrible, then I would think to worry.

My reply was nothing more than a light-hearted quip which was intended to be humorous (see winky thing). The opportunity for a funny was there following the flow of the conversation. I didn't take your comment personally.

For the record, I also don't take anything "personally" about this film. So far I haven't seen anything I like but that's just my opinion. I don't expect people to share it. Whatever the outcome, I hope the movie does well at the box office. As I've stated before, WB/DC have one shot at getting this right following Justice League. If they don't, no one will be interested in another Batman movie for many years.

By my calculation the ventricles would still be at risk...

Reaching. Really reaching just to pick apart the film. Now that is going to get old.

You may have taken this post out of context following the first post. That was me joining in the conversation with another humorous remark. Kimik's post made me chuckle and having studied human anatomy and physiology, I couldn't resist commenting with an embellished diagram. The only thing I'm guilty of here is being a comic book geek

I should mention the post was picking apart the story in 'Tec #1000 rather than the movie :baiting:

Again, since you jumped in the middle of Capra and I teasing each other over his already strong dislike for this film, you are taking it personally this was directed at you. That's for you to sort through.

You want to hate on the film or not, your call. Meanwhile, if some want to wait and see (though I am definitely disappointed with the loss of Ben Affleck), then let us be more upbeat. Without the worries of over-analyzing the location of the heart, the weight of the actor or anything else before we actually see a first trailer.

    Enjoy! :foryou:

From my perspective I was commenting on the Batsuit screentest following it being posted on a public forum. Whilst I agree with Capra's view, I wasn't "jumping in the middle to take his side" (quoted from another post above). I have no interest in "taking sides" over a movie discussion. I like to agree/disagree in what should be a fairly informal chat but that's about it.

I admire your enthusiasm for movies, Bosco. No one has put in more effort to champion each and every movie, and you rarely have a bad word to say about any of them. But I have to say you have a tendency to overreact when someone doesn't share your point of view. The only one taking anything personally here is yourself :foryou:
