Fireproof safe ? there was bad fire in my area hundreds of home's on fire someone I know had a nice fire proof safe with document's and other things and the safe was not so fire proof all burned. Does anyone know how long most safe are fireproof ? I have read most safes are 45 min fire proof than things burn and these homes where on fire for hour's

I think if you have a original book that got dirty over time and its cleaned with no new work done than its still all original. I would think if you have a barn find all original 1967 Camaro and you cleaned it the car still would be all original even tho you cleaned it and yeas chemicals where usedas long as nothing was done there should not be a problem cleaning something that was not there in the first place like dirt on car/comic. What chemicals where used back in 1939 to make the paper that was used for comics ? IMO I understand what you are saying
