  1. I've been sniped on a few CLink items recently, but it's better for me to just put in what I want to pay and then let it ride. I usually do a tracking bid, and once I decide that I'm serious, I go and put in serious bids. There are two that I really want that I don't think will go for much, but I'm afraid to even put that in writing.
  2. The first 2017 auction is underway. Anything have your eye that you're willing to admit? I've got a couple of things in my crosshairs. Nothing major, but I'm at my usual "don't want to spend but can't resist that book I've hunted for so long" point. As the auction closes, post your goodies here.
  3. Looks, here's the dealio. I don't have cash for these comics, but I do have something very valuable. In fact, I have two valuable things. First, I have my 97 year old grandmother. She has dementia but tends herself and loves visiting with Roland. Roland loves his Gigi, and she is maybe the only person who can focus all her undivided, extended attention on the toddler. And then there is Roland. He is worth more. He's sweet and fun and all that, but his future could be entirely in your hands. He's worth at least $15k easy. Probably more like $20k. I'll throw in the old lady to even it out.
  4. Every Februaryfest is Octoberfest. Anyhow, if I want to run a sale with books from many owners, is that a "blended owner collection" that I bought? As opposed to a single owner one? Does it matter what decade it's from?
  5. Lots and lots of great stuff in his thread. I don't like participating in threads I can't think about a purchase for 10 seconds without it being gone. Now if the books are $1 then I'm all for making split decisions but when we are dealing with $200 books then I shy away from those types of threads (unless Foolkiller or October are blowing out books of course) Next month. Woohoo!
  6. It's all unfortunate. Speculating about his health doesn't really accomplish anything. I'm still out goods from his last sales thread. I knew that was a risk when I made the purchases, and the risk materialized. Myself, I won't buy from him again. I don't have any ill will towards him, but I just won't throw my money away again (at least not there ).
  7. One evening, I'll sit down, grade the books, and list them on a spreadsheet. I'll check Overstreet, GPA if relevant, determine my asking price and add that to the spreadsheet. I make a column for the buyer name and the actual sell price. I scan and upload to Imgur. Then disappoint myself by losing money on books.
  8. Grantley hooked me up with a nice CSS to read. He has seduced my innocence for sure. Thanks for a good transaction!
  9. That was....surprisingly dull and is my was least favorite of the Marvel movies. Still glad I saw it, amazing effects, but as a movie, rather .
  10. 1 day after my birthday. Sounds like a good way to give myself a present.
  11. nah, we pretty much decimated the thread while u were sleepin' Sonofa biscuit! Did I miss a second recap post?
