  1. Claudio ships with the speed of an zephyr crossing the hills of Sicily. He packages with the easy grace of Davinci. He bargains like Machiav...wait a second... Really, he ships fast, packages well, remains friendly, and puts conservatively graded comics in your hands. Straight outta Italia, yo.
  2. He did accept the return, probably because that will prevent the negative feedback. Yeah, his reply is full of stupid. I'm tempted to just shove it in a envelope with some first class stamps on it. Seriously though, a cardboard mailer and first class postage is about $4.50 total for one book. And you wouldn't have this kind of problem.
  3. Hero Restoration hooked me up with a sweet press and clean. Before: And after:
  4. Seller nixcollects Original listing This one is lovely. Seller sends comic as seen in photo. The comic is in a comic sleeve, loose in a Priority envelope with a piece of torn cardboard in the envelope. There is no backing board for the comic. The comic is not secured to the cardboard. The comic arrives damaged. Note that the seller's listing states he will pack securely! His response below:
  5. And another reason to buy slabbed books, especially for scarce or high-dollar books.
  6. That's one more person on the Do Not Buy list. I appreciate the posts as well and don't see how it's out of line.
  7. Robert sold me a DCP 27 and a cool Marvel Index with a Steranko cover. I've done a few transactions with him now, even a trade, and he's trustworthy and dependable with both buying and selling. And just a genuinely nice person to deal with. Thanks!
  8. Andy set me up with a fantastic Batman cowl that is just pure fun, and a really nice ASM #78 with a whitey white interior! Thank you, sir.
  9. Jerry sold me some Forever People and a couple of other books. Smooth transaction, fast and safe shipping, good prices, and nice books. Thanks!
  10. I'm at the point where I don't even need to see scans of comics from Mike. If he says it's NM, then it's either NM or better. If he say it's a F-, then it's either a spot on F- or a pip or two better. He ships fast, he deals honestly, he grades uber-tightly, he ships his comics securely, and he even includes the nice half-back boards and mylite bags. Straight up one of my favorite sellers on the boards. I rarely bother to haggle because he's already giving you your money's worth.
  11. Generic minor gripe to follow: We are capitalists living in a capitalist society engaging in a capitalist-enabled hobby. Consequently, we get it that nothing is free. Just state that shipping is included, not that shipping is free. On that note, when you charge shipping, do you consider it shipping and handling, by which I mean, charge for packaging materials? Like many people here, I reuse quite a bit of packing material, but the 100 cardboard mailers, rolls of tape, and occasional boxes do incur an expense. Myself, I don't figure them into the cost of the comics. I price my comics and then determine shipping. So it cost me $3.65 to ship one comic in a cardboard mailer to a nearby Souttheastern state, but I charged $5.00 as the mailer cost ~$1.25 and then whatever trivial cost for tape, printer paper, ink, etc. Is that overcooked in your opinion, or is it reasonable? Obviously, I'm in the latter camp as those are expenses incurred, and like any good capitalist, I understand that expenses are passed to buyers. I just do my best to make sure that I'm charging for a legitimate expense, and not overcharging for it. Getting burned on shipping and handling is something that really ticks me off, so I try to be fair.
  12. Phil sold me two ASMs. Easy to deal with, shipped fast, packaged well, thanks!
  13. Yet another purchase from Barton. He sells gorgeous copies of books, thanks as always!
  14. Local con didn't suck! One seller had an awesome selection from AF 15 to Modern keys. I wasn't shopping in that spectrum though.
  15. Tell me more about your Treasure Chests… Do you have duplicates of volume 18? That, sir, is kinky talk.
  16. Sam was a gracious buyer. But he is Canadian. Likely, he's just full on maple syrup and hockey. Regardless, he now has a sweet House of Secrets 92 to show his missus, and that's a quality transaction.
  17. Super fast shipping, whoa! Thanks for the MODOKs!
  18. Great seller. Got me a sweet Stan Lee t-shirt, fast and easy. Thanks!
  19. Nick sold me a MTU, shipped it fast, packed it safe. Good transaction! Thanks!
  20. Rick Atkinson's The Guns At Last Light, the last of his trilogy on WW II. If you're someone who loves learning about WW II, give the first of the trilogy a try. Absolutely brilliant writing done as historical narrative. The degree of research is breath-taking, and the quality of Atkinson's writing is just stunning.
  21. I thought so, but hell if I know. Strike seemed arbitrary regardless. I hope they undo that and apologize to Brock.
  22. Yeah, I don't get that, but considering how CC and Roy have had friction in the past, it probably would have been best to leave it alone.
  23. Roger and I did a cash and trade deal. He upgraded and I downgraded, and we both walked away happy. Roger made the transaction smooth as could be. Thanks, sir!
