  1. Nope, I don't slab comics...I DEslab comics. What about a good resto check?
  2. It looks like the americian cartoon "Arthur" was heavily inspired by this...
  3. I did some surfing about a year and a half ago to find a place to learn more about the hobby... Little did I know that I would find a set of boards where I wouldn't need to go anywhere else! Hats off to the CGC Boards!!!
  4. Wow! I don't think I have ever seen a marvel comic that didn't have the Marvel brand somewhere on the cover or spine! A Creepy Keeper indeed!
  5. so why is hawkman falling? did just the gust of wind by the flash send him hurling? if so, what a puss of a character!
  6. heh heh, yeah I got a scanner... A real nice one. I'm just lazy I guess... I'll post the scans soon.
  7. Sweet books Nerf! Thanks! My hat goes off to Flamming Telepath for the #60... Great Guy! Great Transaction!
  8. It's kind of funny sometimes when you see homages to the greats... You can see in Blastars legs - Jack Kirby's style heavily influenced it.
  9. You know I'm going to have to pull out my reader copy because I can't remember the storyline. One of the coolest things that I can remember was that Tony was guarding the Princess (girl with an iron mask) and while doing so gets busted up by android animal bad-arses (the villian group from X-men 95) (don't remeber what they are called) After a while of Tony getting is arse whupped he decides that he'll die if he doesn't change into Iron Man and defend himself (thus revealing his identity). He does and one of the villian members says "this guys is beat to a pulp inside that suit, we can still take him easy" Needless to say... they were wrong!
  10. If it is what I recall... (where he completes his battle with Justin Hammer and the goon squad) This is a really great story. I think I traded my copy as a kid for an early Pete Rose card...
  11. Yeah, this has my vote for funniest thread of 2005... Crazy thing is it was made just barely into the new year. Any other contenders?
  12. As far as value or condition or whatever. People grade some insane stuff, what do you think is deemable to rank as #1 worst? * CGC graders feel free to comment...
  13. thanks! looks to be a killer copy too. Nice take, my 9.0 of this cost about what you're paying for this... I thought about bidding on this one, but I haven't decided whether or not to gamble on Comic's outside of Contienental North America yet.
  14. "Face it Tiger, you just hit the jackpot!" Congrats!
  15. I like those books for what they are (wolverine cameos) But dang, the art in 180-182 is HOR - RI - BLE!
  16. Man! slabbing that didn't do that spine any justice!
  17. Nice Neal Adams there Andy. He make a killer BatMan, doesn't he?
  18. I don't know about "wahoofury", but the guy that originated this thread "Crusty" is a Renigging POS. I had a nice SA ASM that I won at the begining of the year that I got a good deal on and it was obvious he wanted more for the book... I even offered him more as a tip to good ahead and send the book, but nope no dice and he was a jerk about it too. It gave me great pleasure in servicing him with a big fat e-Bay negative! If we ever come up with the infamous "Don't Buy From" list he would honored on the top of the slop pile!
  19. NOW we're talkin' The Parade of Lame Villains!!!! This storyline always cracked me up -- in a good way. It ran X-Men 22-23, right? And Marvel wondered why the original X-Men didn't get no respect. Jack Hey don't mess with the Porcupine!
  20. Ahhh, the McFarlane period... Nice choice. Welcome to the Boards!
