  1. Thanks for the update on the eBay seller name. Did you see the thread above your post? I would put it in that one as well.
  2. It's also a great show to meetup with your virtual friends. Put a face to the name and share some collecting stories!
  3. Correct, Whatnot your card is stored and you are billed right when you win an auction.
  4. Is that yours? Doesn't look like shipping was too kind.
  5. A couple of the hot pieces for the OA auction. Stelfreeze Storm. He's always at the top or top 3 of pieces for the auction. Room was packed with a lot of great folks. One even provided some improv entertainment from time to time.
  6. This dealer had 30% off almost all books. Not bad but slabs were priced to account for the discount, IMO.
  7. From what I was told by a creator, Hasbro is very protective of their property. I can't see that happening in reality.
  8. I'm saying in relation to the movies. I was replying to your comment about speculation for characters they may come to light in media.
  9. Mining comic stories doesn't amount to much anymore for Marvel. They change the story and / or and bring in new characters that have never been in 60 years of source material. Heck, were GotG anything before the movies? Not really, at least not the movie team.
  10. The Rocketeer #1 IDW Online Exclusive are coming in. A lot are coming nicked up. Better shipping than usual but still not great.
  11. I don't incur storage costs but I'm also very limited in my storage space. And thus it's not my main point of income.
  12. Per your model, buying large amounts of material to be stored for years or even decades and then selling for a little more later. All overhead costs must be accounted for. I haven't done a pro-forma for every location in the country but I can guarantee it doesn't work everywhere.
  13. Your model does not work for everyone though because of the large variable the overhead costs mentioned earlier. Look at Chuck, giant warehouse and overhead. But theoretically the volume of sales covers that.
  14. Factor in the cost of storage space, maintaining temperature and lighting, etc....
  15. I've seen a lot of stores promoting it and one or two store variants. One store mentioned the Skybound joint venture with Sony. However, this appears to be a space based comic. Don't see it doing anything unless animated.
  16. Ah, the old, what I collect rules, what you collect drools.
  17. Nobody here said that. They sell so that's all that matters for Marvel because they have a giant fan base. They will likely have a long run of shows and movies as they start to spin-off from the main story. Don't worry. I'm sure your Star Trek comics will heat up any day now.
