Since the new Avengers trailer dropped, all CGC 9.8 blue label copies of Nova #1 got swooped up. At $1k a pop. Somebody know something we don't?

Great book. One of the very few Moderns that sells because of the importance of story. Or, more the creative team. Probably a little to do with the cover too, but not like 880.

Teen Titans 12 has seen a bump. The new series is selling for cover or less.

And MSH 13 has a number of things going for it. 1. Supply / demand. Iron Man #55 has been graded 3,500 times by CGC and 2% are 9.8. MSH #13 1,218 and 0.6% are 9.6 or higher. 2. First female lead Marvel comic book movie. Wonder Woman being the first since the recent move wave. Woman characters have been overlooked and are seeing a major correction.

Sure, I would never buy during movie hype. But, as you glossed over Iron Man #55 has only risen in value since the original movie appearance.

OK, so let me grab to "random" books then that are movie hyped. Incredible Hulk #271 9.8 - 1st Rocket Raccoon 2011 (high) - $64 2012 (movie announced) - $350 2014 (movie release) - $1,250 2018 (high) - $575 Iron Man #55 9.8 2011 (high) - $1,800 2012 (movie announced) - $3,219 2014 (movie release) - $5,155 2018 (high) - $8,300 So, what these two instances show is that while there was movie "hype", the characters have sustained themselves in the pop culture world. At least for now. You are comparing prices stating that a movie hype" book should be worth 10% of what it was worth prior to a movie.

They aren't sitting it out. They come on here and complain about the prices people are paying.

You keep focusing on one book. Did you miss out on this book or something? If you look at one collectible, in any market, sports cards, dolls, cards, etc....there will always be something like this.

And the Spawn #185 was shilled up multiple times. It is a valuable book, but hard to determine the real value now.

This thread is basically a second "Heating Up" thread. I think I'm up to 6 on Venom. Really liking it for the most part.
