  1. I'll take you're word for it. That's before my time of Wednesday Warrioring.
  2. All were taking is numbers on the census. Not sales prices. There are hundreds of ASM 361 newsstands that may have never been recorded. So, unless it's retroactive the numbers will be inaccurately skewed.
  3. It would have to be retroactive for it to have any real meaning.
  4. Rarity is a dangerous word to use in an instance. the simple logic is that people buying them at 7-11 or the grocery store were not taking as good of care of them as people buying them at a comic store where they also sell comic supplies. Are there deviations like Mr. Pine above? Of course. Dont make it harder equation than that. Is it true? nobody knows now and they will never know for certain.
  5. Now you're speculating on why people buy certain books. Never a good idea.
  6. Yes, one direct sold for $430 & one for $475 both w/free shipping. So a few bucks less than the newsstand.
  7. Yup, a newsstand. And another newsstand for $470 + $13.50 shipping. Where you at @valiantman ?
  8. GPA last 9.8 sale was for $800 in Aug. 2015 Last 9.6 was $330 last month. It doesn't sell that often.
  9. Please don't use wikias as credible sources of information for comics. Legion of Monsters #1: 8-5-75 Marvel Premiere #28: 11-11-75 but a lot of people don't like magazines and don't consider them "comics". Still, Marvel Preview #4 sells for a lot more than Marvel Spotlight #6.
  10. What Modern Marvel newstands sell for anything?
  11. Yes, with the caveat that it varies greatly depending on the book. A non-desired book, for the most part, doesn't sell any more often. The Image books however are all hitting that magical 25 year mark. I definitely attribute that and the rise of the Modern variant market to the uptick in those specific books.
  12. Price: US $5.99 [ 2,850 sold ] Congrats indeed
  13. It hasn't been going up over the years though. That is more recent. ...and there are at least two color breaks on yours.
  14. Low compared to the Big 2. Only 2 Valiant books sold more than it and that was just barely. You would think Valiant would kill an independent like Albatross.
  15. Oh, got it. Very interesting concept. Certainly a sign of where the variant market is and the hobby in general. Do you have Bezos on the phone for the next one?
  16. Was this at the con? I saw you walking out with a shortbox. And, if it was that guy in the back corner I bought from him a couple of years ago at the same con when it was at the movie theater. Got a Marvel Preview #4 for $20, Uncanny 266 that graded 9.8, etc... He was asking $30 each and had 3/4 of a longbox of New Mutants Annuals #2. Great if they were NM but unfortunately you could see all the water damage just looking at the top of them.
  17. I would say all of these besides Spider-Man #1 have been steadily going up over the past couple of years. Especially in high grade. In general, almost any Marvel copper in 9.6-9.8 is pulling nice returns. Media events have, most likely, pushed some of these up: Wonder Woman - movie Watchmen (Rebirth / button) had previously been down New Mutants - movie
  18. Let's not take what I said at face value of an original art piece. What if I said an original art print which still holds value? Tombed comics can't be read and they sell for more than raws.
  19. Shoeless Joe cards went through the roof after Field of Dreams. (I have no clue if this is true)
