  1. The people working the Marvel Booth put in crazy hours at the show-- and they do it because they want everyone there to have a great time. Do they do it for free or do they get paid?
  2. Am I being punked? https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/386506-celebrate-dellotto/ https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/348450-the-official-j-scott-campbell-appreciationdiscussion-thread/ https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/134235-adam-hughes-gallery/
  3. Huh? Cover art is one of the primary generators of Modern value. Oh, and Neal Adams Batman books have gone through the roof the last two years.
  4. Yes, I'm pretty sure it was a 1:1 with an order % increase of a previous release.
  5. Lots of great picks here! Dont understand why that New Gods hasn't picked up.
  6. Signed copies have already been received by some people. He signed them last week. Had a vid on IG.
  7. That's none of your business!
  8. I would assume the poster was referring to characters that have not yet appeared. There are a big handful of cosmic characters that have still not been used.
  9. You really can't get much for $4k anyway. We're talking about cars, right?
  10. What a shuckster In other news, SECRET EMPIRE #0 released from Marvel today, and is getting positive initial reviews. A problem cropped up, however, in that quite a few of the copies distributed by Diamond have a huge printing flaw on one page. But depending on the percentage of the print run SECRET EMPIRE #0 that turned out to be defective, this could become a significant collectible in days to come. All of our copies were OK, but budgetary restraints restricted us to ordering only a few. Just saying...
  11. This one, unlike almost all of their other books show, actually has some validity. It had been a $50 book. Now, my guess is that dealers, speculators and fans are pushing the value since the show. If you're up on the trends, you knew about this book going up over a year ago, but many are many not as deep into the trends. Some of the books from the recent season were the 1st Killgrave and Dynomutt. The only one I can think of quickly that was actually a good book was the Superman vs. Ali mag. That one however was also influenced by Ali's death.
  12. Well, it originally jumped because of the Comic Book Men TV show.
  13. Rick & Morty #1 is climbing. Up to about $150 now.
  14. This guy seems to be holding around $1,500. X-23 #1 Dell Otto Variant CGC 9.8
  15. Wow, you're all over the place on this one. My response was only in relation to the tone of previous posts. The relation of ASM is simply an arbitrary book. What I was trying to convey is why it's acceptable to spend over $1G on a fairly common Bronze age book, but not a hard to find Modern. The ASM is not a defined key, not an important story, etc... Any argument as to why that book can sell for that much, except for age, can be matched by a Modern variant. Simply because something is old does not equate to value.
  16. To make matters worse, the CGC has 'authenticated' a few of these marked 'counterfeit' as collectibles. Great job, CGC. "Yes, this is an authentic fake -- genuinely ingenuine."
