  1. Ok, ok, details...foreign obviously. Only time it's been printed?
  2. Nope... I didn't want them... I saved and waited till I could get the real thing, and pounce when the right listing popped up... sure some people go for them, but I have a feeling they would never splurge for the real deal if they had the funds and opportunity... I would say a majority of collectors would not drop $1,000+ on a single comic.
  3. It's Batman # 21 would We Are Robin 1 variant be considered the 1st appearance of him in a Robin costume....not sure that costume will be the one he wears later on. No, this issue will be the 1st real appearance. We are Robin is more a group of "Robins". At least that's what I've been told when I tried to make that same argument. I think this is a pretty good argument and the book is certainly starting to move. The same people who were interested in Captain Marvel #17 will be interested in this imo. We are Robin variant #1 $12 for a 1:25 variant? It sold for more than that when it came out.
  4. The show is supposed to be on Syfy which is owned by NBC / Comcast and given their track record with Revival, Sixth Gun and Clone I wouldn't bank too much on it actually happening. You'd think Bunn would have learned his lesson after SG and hung up the phone when the ComcastNBCUniversal execs called He may like cashing their checks too much. Yea, what a dummy.
  5. Huh? This was a $50 book in Jan. Of course there is going to be some fluctuation from market saturation. Give it a month or two for the dust to settle and then let's see where the prices are.

  7. 1,440 is low for a Marvel or DC comic, but not unheard of for an independent. I bet if you look around on Kickstarter there are plenty of self published comics that are 1,000 or less. Also, just because it's a low print, it doesn't mean there is associated value. There are other factors you have to consider as well.
  8. He did, you can tell by the artwork that it's his covers. http://comicbookinvest.com/2015/02/12/adam-hughes-cover-gallery-checklist/
  9. That's in Future's End, different than Prime Earth. Robin? Better look again....
  10. Another thing that looks suspicious is the back cover has a blue label. Signature Series books are yellow on both front and back.
  11. $250 Wow and the first offer was $350. How can you tell the sold price on a best offer? Watchcount doesn't reveal it anymore. It does if you click the "history" which is highlighted in yellow.
  12. I agree on education for new buyers/ collectors. But, once again, I'm not sure where you are getting the "false hype" idea from. The market dictates pricing. If you don't want to buy something for that price, simply don't do it. I personally see a market for 2nd prints of books that have great covers that are different or even better than their 1st print counterpart, especially when they are harder to find. There are some that will say "meh, it's a reprint", but that doesn't mean others are "wrong" for liking it.
  13. Ah, paper + plastic, best of both worlds! In terms of the cover image, it sounds like you're sharing the soapbox with some others on this board, what I collect is awesome and what you collect sucks. It has nothing to do with "spec. sites".
  14. Well, it hasn't hit shelves yet, but TMNT #56 is selling out everywhere. So that should probably go over here: Pre-Heat Speculation The last Turtles book that went crazy nobody saw coming. I've seen this posted around here and there, so I don't expect it to take off. Manifest Destiny #1 2nd print had the same cover as the 1st print. Image doesn't typically do a different cover for later printings, this one is an exception....and a nice one to boot!
  15. There is no "value" in any comic. It's printed paper. Old Man Logan #66 2nd Print, uses an interior panel. I would assume the same thing for Wolverine Origins #28 2nd print and Psylocke #1 2nd print as well, but I don't have a copy of those currently.
  16. #7 & #10 are not even scans. They are semi-blurry pictures and they don't even have pictures of the back.
