  1. 13 pages of complaining about prices going up. Not one response about it possibly going back down.
  2. You're going to be one short. oh i got that one as well but compared to the other two, too me its not exactly "connecting" Yea, not really sure what's up with these. I can see that you had to shift the Hulk up to line up with the Cable.
  3. Spring 2016 Rollback Pricing Files Absent Congressional or Court action to make the existing exigent surcharge for Market Dominant Products and Services part of the rate base or to otherwise extend it, the Postal Service will be providing notice to the Postal Regulatory Commission of the adjusted prices that are contained in the pricing files set forth below. The Postal Service intends to provide such notice of the adjusted prices to the Commission 45 days before it is anticipated that the exigent surcharge revenue target will be reached. FLATS Weight Not Over (ounces) 1 0.94 2 1.15 3 1.36 4 1.57 5 1.78 6 1.99 7 2.20 8 2.41 9 2.62 10 2.83 11 3.04 12 3.25 13 3.46 http://pe.usps.com/ SOURCE: http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/postage-prices-to-drop-for-first-time-in-nearly-a-century/ar-AAgCBVo?li=BBnb7Kz&OCID=DELLDHP The price decrease is expected to occur on April 10, 2016... Expected? That doesn’t sound terribly certain, right? That’s because the U.S. Postal Service is still hoping that might change. When postage recently went up a few cents in order to reverse a slide in revenues, it was supposed to be a temporary increase. The boost was intended to be reversed when the Postal Service collected $4.6 billion in surcharges. That benchmark is expected to happen on April 10, 2016.
  4. I'll sell you a copy for $75 shipped  That was for three copies
  5. Never seen that book and I like it! $56 for a 1:50 doesn't seem out of line to me.
  6. 1. Why would it do better? 2. That one cost $6.44 to get it in your hands. ------- Trying to guess modern sales trends if not my forte, I admit. Because it seemed like it flew a little under the radaar when it came out and maybe not many of this cover are out there. Powell hasn't been producing much lately, so I think his fans might be eager to get whatever is coming out (of course, maybe they just pre-ordered it when it came out). It is kind of a cool cover. Only a few copies for sale on ebay. I guess nobody cares. My thoughts: 1. There is nothing presumed "rare" about it as I don't believe it was an incentive variant. 2. Archie and Predator are both a niche market. It's not like picking up a modern Marvel / DC character. 3. There are very, very few Dark Horse books that have done much value wise.
  7. Yup, that one is my grail. The original was in a private collection, I know I saw it on CAF once upon a time. Don't expect it'll shake loose any time soon. I don't collect hairy pit covers.

  9. Who the heck paid $99.99 for that Winter Soldier? It's not up to Dell Otto's standard. Frankly the Gamora is really the only one I like.
  10. It's been a good book for years. She was in some video game and that book has never looked back since. I've yet to find one above an 8.0 in the wild though after looking for years.
  11. Pass, even if it ends up being this character, it's one that has no powers. Historically they do not do well, even in movies. That Wolvie art variant however....
  12. He did some nice covers in that series. Nothing like Catwoman, but he evolved into that. I like #7 too, the underwater scene.
  13. need a 3 Never had a problem selling the pair of 2 + 3, but I never read 2. How is that her origin and not Captain Marvel 18? Her "origin" in Captain Marvel 18 was retconned in the MM series. I've read CM 18 several times and it's pretty clear that CM giving Carol his powers didn't happen in the book, otherwise there wouldn't have been a 6 year publishing gap, or whatever it was between CM 18 and MM 1 I got a nice low grade CM 18 that I will read tonight!
  14. need a 3 Never had a problem selling the pair of 2 + 3, but I never read 2. How is that her origin and not Captain Marvel 18?
  15. Here it is. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6019997&fpart=105 -J. Gracias, silly me, I was searching using "Spider-Man".
  16. Thought there was a thread specific to ASM 678, but I can't find it. Anyways, a raw if up for action. ASM #678
  17. Nope, dead serious. $100 for the Raw copy, $35 for Grading/Slabbing, $15.00 for shipping = $150. Especially because the seller likely paid $15 or less for if they pre-ordered. Reasons why I am trying to track down my own 9.8 candidate vs. paying someone else $400. I can still beat the $400 price point subbing myself, even if I buy a raw for $100 or more. Yes, but how is a seller being greedy but wanting to sell it for market value? The formula you just presented would net him $0, actually he would lose money with associated fees.
  18. I just secured 4 copies. Hope they are good, and you weren't lying, 22K Sales confirmed through comichron. That's low for a JSC regular cover, and with Spectrum and Captain Marvel getting some love lately, maybe if Firestar takes off in popularity, we might see this book do something. I think a lot of people know about that upcoming one. Newer releases aren't the issue. Think it's the older variants . Nope, new ones too. This thread is the reason Silk #3 blew up. If it is released through regular means at you local store (comic shop 1:25/50 ect) the tax is added at posting. And for sure the eBay presales hurt too, being only a few brave people willing to risk a canceled transaction due to diamond damage, they "set the market" and everyone follows. There is no way to tell if it's a shill (majority are people who read this board) and people profit. At the end of the day, a collector who feels burnt by this, will eventually quit chasing if priced out. Good grief, it is the 90s all over. Really? I preordered the 2 copies of silk 3 for $12 each. I know it was going for over $100 the week it released but I think the prices have fallen quite a bit. That is part of the problem. I couldn't even pre-order it fast enough to secure a copy because of the news breaking on the book. And it has not calmed down, people still want too much for them, and a 9.8 finally hit eBay at $400 obo. I want to offer him $150 but I know, his greed would decline the offer because someone else will pay it. You're kidding, right? Also, Silk #3 is more popular because it was not solicited as a JSC variant to retailers. It was simply listed as a variant. When it was announced it was too late for retailers to order more copies. Look at a similar timeline book like Ms. Marvel #2 '92 variant and it's not nearly as expensive because it was advertised to retailers as a JSC variant so they knew to up their order.
  19. Yeah that one has some legs I might take a chance and run with this tip. Be careful, these things are hard to handicap.
  20. ASM 1 for Flash & Jonah Wikia states AF 15. CGC does not label either book though.
  21. I've been having the same feeling. Like the minute a book gets mentioned here, it starts to jump. And Jump. And JUMP until it's in the stratosphere all of a sudden. This is a pretty easy observation that this thread has influenced the market and on multiple accounts. Now you are seeing it in the Dell'Otto too.
