  1. Do dealers issue 1099s to their consignors?
  2. Lol. And how many seconds in a minute? None of this math is correct.
  3. If you choose to sell and profit from the sale, yes.
  4. In the history of the PL, this nomination ranks as follows: 1. Every probation worthy failed transaction 2. This transaction
  5. That is pretty much what the stock market is, to a degree. Market Cap does not equal liquidation value.
  6. Agreed, not an either/or. Definitely a fun way to invest and have as part of your overall portfolio. My point is that picking one book (like AF 15) and suggesting that comics generally are a better investment is a bit misguided.
  7. How do you invest small increments? Also, there's the immediate tax shelter benefit of the 401K.

  15. Why would you leave it to someone you don't like?
  16. It's not a mistake, e.g., he inadvertently sold to another buyer. From the facts presented, it was a deliberate action. No one is forcing him to sell the book, but the consequences are being added to the list. As for this thread serving as punishment, I don't see many people spending the time to find and read this thread months, years down the road. The list makes the diligence process easier. I would like to hear from the other side, however.
  17. All good. You're one of my faves!
