  1. Here's a real gem, said he bid "by accident": siro7
  2. 1st print #2's in high grade aren't that expensive. There's a 9.4 on Ebay right now in the $300 range. That's a great undervalued book...1st April O'neil, 1st Mousers, etc
  3. They've elevated their characters movies to less than horrible, but they still ain't exactly great. They are decent family/kiddy movies at best
  4. There will be peace in the middle east and a fictional event know as Revelations will also happen before Sony ever gives up Spider-man back to Marvel. One thing I think will come from all this if ASM 2 doesn`t get the desired box office results is there will be a change in Spider-Man`s costume. I know a sacrilege thought. Spider-Man`s costume just like Superman`s and Batman`s doesn't work in live action movies that well. They look great in the comic books and animation series, but for some reason they don`t seem to fit in after seeing Iron Man fly around in armor. I think they definitely will change Spider-Man`s costume for the next movie somewhat. Here was a rejected costume that Marc Webb wanted compared to the one they used for ASM 2. I like it myself. It seems more realistic for live action movies. Any thoughts about they will change Spider-Man`s costume for ASM 3 somewhat? Amazing-Spider-Man-alternate-costume I like that they went with a more spandexy look this time. The modern body armour thing is really stiff and overused, and will look really dated in the years to come. You can never go wrong by going classic and iconic.
  5. Why do they feel they always need to start over from the beginning with these movies for each "re-launch"? What's wrong with making a movie with a good superman/spiderman/etc story without retelling the same story and origin from the ground up each time? Everyone knows spider-man's origin, superman's, batman's origin for christsakes. We don't need the origin re-told each time just because it's a different actor
  6. Too bad about the personalization on the autograph. Hopefully it's in pencil
  7. You guys didn't think it was dumb when he jumped out of the plane without a parachute?
  8. That's the same story for anyone that's bought a modern "hot" book after it became hot. People just never ever learn.
  9. I don't think it's movie hype that we're seeing in relation to recent interest in TMNT 1. I think what we're seeing is the beginnings of that magic combination, i.e., the kids that grew up with TMNT in the 90's just starting to hit the age where nostalgia meets incomes/earnings that can afford and will drive prices up on high $$ books. I think we're just now seeing the tip of the iceburg for TMNT 1 value.
  10. You've posted so many times in this topic, people might begin to think you know what you're talking about. Let's pretend you do... So please show me where I can find this bloated bubble. This graph shows a small post 2008 dip. Everything dipped in '08. This isn't that big a dip either comparitive to everything else. This indicates it is holding it's value very well.
  11. the big diff there is the subsequent printings AREN'T the 1st app of the turtles. Huge difference
