  1. Can I suggest not buying from brand-new sellers who need the help of the PGM forum to grade their books? sound advice. I don't feel like playing Blowie at the moment. Who was the seller? I am, I sold her Silver Surfer #1 and she doesn't like that it has a spine split. I didn't notice a spine split on it but I know there was a defect with the spine at the bottom just like there are defects on the cover. I posted scans and linked to the PGM thread in the sales thread so everyone could get an idea of it's grade. I had an issue on eBay where I graded it based on my opinion and the seller said it was worse in his opinion. That caused a huge issue so from then on, I do not grade raws. I will say if it is in a decent condition and post pictures of it to let people judge for themselves. I originally bought it for $200. I was thinking about getting it restored and graded but thought that would cost too much so I tried selling it on here for $200. jsilverjanet offered $175 and I took it. I offered her $100 back for it now because that would be more affordable for me to get it restored and graded. I do not want to spend $175 on it and I already lost $25 on it plus the cost of shipping it to her to begin with.
  2. Is this a comic book or a magazine? The slabs look bigger than I'm used to.
  3. Is it worth it to you? (If you mean CGC graded Blue Label, then yes...it's would be considered a good deal...right now.) Yeah, it's a Blue Label…looks fantastic for a 7.5. I think I may do it…expect a scan very soon!
  4. I just bought a used HP 7400C off ebay..hope it works good. Your picture looks great.
  5. Just got a nice haul…some of which will be meeting CGC really soon!
  6. It's my avatar from blu-ray.com forum. I liked the Mr. Men as a small child and I like working out. So I'm Mr. Strong.
  7. So I am new to these boards and CGCs altogether. I have been collecting comics since 1992. I really have not had anything of value except for an Uncanny X-Men #266 since I was a kid. I still have it raw and I'm contemplating getting it graded. I did fall into Avengers 1, 3, 4, 5, and X-Men #12 at one point. I then sold these on eBay before there was even a hint that they would be in a movie, and I kick myself to this day for that. Over the past couple of months, I have started diving into CGCs. I started with a '91 X-Men #1 with wraparound cover signed by Jim Lee and Stan Lee. This was one of my favorites as a kid and I love Jim Lee's art. Since then I have picked up X-Factor #6, ASM #300 and #361, and recently got both FF #48 and Hulk #181. I feel I got a collection to be proud of now…I'm also broke and I'm using the slabs for shelter. I am also very interested in movies and a frequent visitor of blu-ray.com under the same name. I also collect some action figures, currently into some Play Arts Kai DC Variants and recently picked up my first Hot Toys figure, which was Loki. Otherwise, these boards have been fun so far and I'm enjoying my stay. I will ask though, are we allowed to put our comics in more than one set? For example, I have a graded Spider-Man #1 from the 90s (who doesn't have this?!?). This comic can go into either Spider-Man Complete or Spider-Man (Todd McFarlane only), I can add it to both right?
  8. So I would love to join this club. A local shop has a raw copy with obvious cover wear, corner missing, not best condition at all and they are asking $4000 for it. Would it make sense to offer less than a thousand? I know it's hard to tell since you cannot see the book but I would call it around 2.0 to 3.0 and with it not being graded, makes the value even less.
