lmfao, based off what, one sale??? just because some insufficiently_thoughtful_persons bid up ep restored
books and GPA post the results doesn't give any real indication.
-
You're talking like a sausage.
Sounds funny, but what does it mean?
it means you're talking out of your you know what.

I'd be fairly upset if EP 5.5's would only realize 12k/13k ............ I'd expect something at least double that
EP ( 3.5 ) Trimmed $12,310 Feb-2014
EP ( 6.0 ) $25,000 Nov-2014
EP ( 7.5 ) $45,000 Jan-2014
You're talking like a sausage. No way a 7.5 brings in $45k and there is a 6.0 on
Comiclink asking $25k NO TAKERS!
-
If restored batman 1 ep copies of 5.5 are really going for $20k plus then the bubble is
about to burst.
-
That copy had real nice eye appeal for the grade...... and when the same money will only get you a raggedy AF15....These restored Bat 1's will only start looking better. GOD BLESS...

$12k/13k will get you a nice looking 3.5/4.5 copy and a restored 6.0/7.0
If you know someone that has restored 3.5/4.5 copy for 12K please let me know.
I think the later estimates of near double that are much closer to the mark.

I'm talking about AF 15 unrestored 3.5/4.5 around $12k and restored 6/7

I see a 5.5 ep asking price of $21,700 sold in the marketplace. I thought
this was a $12k/13k book.

Any thoughts on grade here? Went for $5801. I suspect the buyer will restore it...at least, I probably would. http://ebay.to/1D7DhpP
This is a tough call being it has no back cover. I would have it graded as is and hope
it comes back a blue label.
-
It's at almost 13k with 20 minutes to go. are we looking at a 20k book per point on blue labels these days? this book and af 15 just continue not to disappoint (comparing these two because of the availability )
Do you have a link?

I think a 1.0 would sell close to $20k
-
I can't imagine there is much of a market for a $40k Mego.
-
Justin - my picture of my AF 15 needs updating so that it can properly be shown off.
Beautiful book ruined with scribble.

It went 10 % less than the last 6.5 from a year and a half ago. And $4k less than a 6.0 that just sold on comic connect. I can't imagine the chipping was that big of a factor...
-J.
Actually, it went for 20% less than a 6.5 ow/w that sold last year. I believe the difference in prices realized is indeed due to the chipping and missing corner piece on the copy just sold. While the CGC-assigned numerical grade is an important factor in determining a key's value, so to is how nice the comic looks.
I am inclined to agree with this. It's still a helluva good price for that though. Only $6500 less than the 5.5 below it, also on comic link? Wow. I think that would have realized more in a straight auction.

terrible photo and the Stan Lee autograph didn't help. (autograph on CGC case but still)

Hey Gator,
How would you rank these GA titles based on collectability and value? I'm specifically trying to see where Young Allies and All Winners rank.
Captain America
Marvel Mystery Comics
Young Allies
All Winners
All Select
Submariner
Human Torch
Thanks again.
That's easy, at the Bottom

I was hoping the pricing would be a little lower for my buying sake. Do you think I may be able to get a 1.0 for 40k or a 2.0 for 85-90k?
Yes, shouldn't be a problem buying from a private seller.
-
What is a cgc 1.0, 2.0 or 3.0 blue label worth thes days? Thanks
depending on appearance and page quality average 1 = 45k 2 = 100k and 3 = 120k
This is based off a 1.8 selling for 90k

New to the boards too. I collect mostly bronze and a few silver age
comics. Rick

Yes your point is valid. Maybe this book has doubled in the last 2 years.
