  1. Typically when a new comic is announced, the announcement is posted, a hundred pages of "Will there be a movie? How many copies is the variant limited to? Will there be an exclusive for the upcoming convention? Is it an ongoing?" Then the book comes out. Now we get a hundred pages of "I got ten copies! I got the SDCC varaint! Look at these prices on eBay! I hear it's sold out everywhere. Second print already?" Once I even asked "What's it about?" and was completely ignored. It doesn't matter. Pages of speculating >>>> pages of people complaining about speculating
  2. FWIW it's getting better reviews than Wytches right now..9.5 on roundup after eight reviews. Granted, Wytches has 17 reviews and is at a solid 9.1.
  3. Awesome. I have a third eye variant that I want to submit as well. Love this series so far.
  4. I have no idea how the SS process works as far as sending your books away to shows to get signed/sketched. As you can see from my handle and post history, I'm new here. Is there a link that will teach me about this process? I love SS books, and would like to build my collection.
  5. I too got a sketch done at SDCC but it wasn't a Monatour Awesome. What'd ya get? I haven't seen it yet. So I can't confirm yet, My father-in-law got a Sacajawea on his. Pretty sweet.
  6. So he sketched a minotaur on your Long Beach variant too? Yup. I didn't get it done myself, but I ended up with it, http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=869 Theres a link to it. Is yours the same as mine? Pretty much. Thought mine was unique...damn. Should have asked for a naked sacagawea.
  7. I just found out my sketch variant got a 9.8. It also has a Minotaur sketch from Matthew Roberts on it. How do I post pictures on here? This board is different than the other ones I'm on. It hasn't shipped yet, but I'd like to post it when it gets here.
  8. Well, one contributor to Forbes is saying that critics are calling it "possibly" the best, without citing any actual critics. I have to disagree. It wasn't awful, but it's closer to the bottom of Marvel's productions. It felt more like a batch of one-liners and action that they cobbled together with a plot that isn't particularly innovative. The villains were a little too comic-booky for a movie (or not comic-booky enough; they could have pushed it and just ran with silliness). Wow, closer to the bottom?!!!??! I will respectfully, heartily, disagree. To each his own. I loved it. I loved it. It's now my #2 Marvel film behind Avengers. It's at 92% on rotten tomatoes right now. See it IMAX 3D if you get a chance. Best 3D I've ever seen.
  9. Anyone been following Wool since Wednesday? Came out this past week and seems to be picking up speed. One auction went off in the $30 range. Looks to be a small print run.
  10. Recently submitted a Manifest Destiny Sketch variant, with a Matthew Roberts minotaur sketch on the front for SS. Really hoping this comes back a 9.8. What is your experience with Image books and CGC? They seem to have a good bit of spine roll.
