  1. Also I think this is one of the most informative comic book forums out there. This is the one I frequent the most . We talk about speculation, first appearances, movies and the series itself. We have creators come and post here such as wiebe, Laramie, and Stephenson and they interact with us . Are there any other comic book forums out there that can provide all of these things? I don't think the cgc forums are "getting old". Far from it. However, this is my opinion.

    (shrug)

Typically when a new comic is announced, the announcement is posted, a hundred pages of "Will there be a movie? How many copies is the variant limited to? Will there be an exclusive for the upcoming convention? Is it an ongoing?"

Then the book comes out. Now we get a hundred pages of "I got ten copies! I got the SDCC varaint! Look at these prices on eBay! I hear it's sold out everywhere. Second print already?"

Once I even asked "What's it about?" and was completely ignored. It doesn't matter.

Pages of speculating >>>> pages of people complaining about speculating

  2. Yea, no big deal though. Only 14 S.S. on the census (as of now) and you would think most don't have a sketch (I've got 2 other S.S w/ no sketch). So its not 1 of 1..but still pretty rare (thumbs u

I too got a sketch done at SDCC but it wasn't a Monatour ;)

    Awesome. What'd ya get? :baiting:

I haven't seen it yet. So I can't confirm yet,

My father-in-law got a Sacajawea on his. Pretty sweet.

  3. Just found out my compete #1-#4 SS run (including all the variant) all graded 9.8

Also, congrats on the 9.8 sketch variant Murdock. Mine 9.8 w/ the minotaur sketch came in a few weeks ago and I was extatic.

So he sketched a minotaur on your Long Beach variant too?

Yup. I didn't get it done myself, but I ended up with it, lol

Theres a link to it. Is yours the same as mine?

Pretty much. Thought mine was unique...damn. Should have asked for a naked sacagawea.

  4. Well, one contributor to Forbes is saying that critics are calling it "possibly" the best, without citing any actual critics.

I have to disagree. It wasn't awful, but it's closer to the bottom of Marvel's productions. It felt more like a batch of one-liners and action that they cobbled together with a plot that isn't particularly innovative. The villains were a little too comic-booky for a movie (or not comic-booky enough; they could have pushed it and just ran with silliness).

    Wow, closer to the bottom?!!!??!

    I will respectfully, heartily, disagree.

    To each his own.

    I loved it.

I loved it. It's now my #2 Marvel film behind Avengers. It's at 92% on rotten tomatoes right now. See it IMAX 3D if you get a chance. Best 3D I've ever seen.
