The boards and I have some wantlists with some dealers. It requires a bit of patience, but it has paid off many times.

I posted about the $70 shipping charge earlier in the thread. As patriot6 suggested, my thoughts were well I'll round out my order by purchasing some ungraded books from their site, well that was an adventure; I must have bid on 15 different books and only two came back as being available to actually buy. It seems that they don't care about exorbitant shipping prices to Canada and they don't update their online inventory. The experience has been enough to make search elsewhere for books I want, that's why I love these boards .

Self-deprecating humour is the type of humour I like best. As far as shipping costs, I suggested in another thread that for those of us Canucks who aren't close to the border we should find an American boardie who we can send our books to from comiclink. The cost to ship from comiclink to an American address is dirt cheap. Then the American boardie sends the books to us in Canada. I've had slabbed books sent from folks in the states for a fraction of the price that clink charges. The American boardie gets a percentage of the shipping cost and it would still be cheaper than what clink charges.

$70 regardless of whether the book is an auction or an exchange buy. They used to have a slower $35 option to Canada but they scrapped it and now it's $70. In Canadian pesos it's like $300 flapjacks and your first born.

Even for their cheapest option to ship to Canada it is still more than when a boardie sends me a slab or some raw comics. If a person wanted to make some extra cash I think there is a niche here to be filled.
