  3. I decided to part with 15 books in my Justice League (2011) set which has held the #1 spot on the Registry for many years. 2 sold, the 13 currently available are all CGC 9.8; all but 1 contain Jim Lee art. Many are of the few highest graded Signature Series- those are signed by the respective cover artists which include David Finch, Greg Capullo, Ivan Reis, Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and an ultra-cool colored cover by Alex Sinclair. The first 2 issues listed below sold in ComicLink’s March auction, the rest of the 13 issues are still available and listed in ComicLink’s April auction, ENDING TONIGHT - Tuesday, April 28: 1. Justice League (2011) #1 Fifth Printing CGC 9.4 White Pages HAND-COLORED & SIGNED BY ALEX SINCLAIR, SIGNED BY JIM LEE & SCOTT WILLIAMS. 4. Auctions for the the last 13 issues in the list above are ENDING TONIGHT!
  5. Those Silver/gold foil covers are metal slabs- not actual comic books- they just have key comic issue colored covers printed on them. CGC grades those as well as coins and posters.
  6. Thanks- forgive my ignorance- AF = ? The first two are currently at $84 and $17, and end tomorrow night- the price is right!

  13. I bought a Bronze Age comic listed as 9.8 condition. Front and back covers look great, everything looks ok except for an obvious printing error- The bottom corners of last 2 pages of comic weren't cut right and folded over diagonally in printing process. The 2 pages before that have a slight diagonal imprint line on same angle. See photos attached (shows front and back of these pages) Assuming there are no other flaws on book (there doesn’t seem to be), would this bring a comic down from a 9.8 grade, since it wasn’t damaged, but was printed this way? thanks-
  14. Thanks- lot of pages in there- would it be best to post there?
  15. Thanks- those aren’t page tears- both sides of the corner folds of the last pages are shown- was printed that way-
  16. Hi all- I’m not asking to grade this comic, but a question as to how a printing error (shown in pics) would affect a grade. Assuming there are no other flaws on book (there doesn’t seem to be), would this bring a comic down from a 9.8 grade, since it wasn’t damaged, but was printed this way? thanks-
  17. Canadian dollar May not be not equal to a US dollar, but it’s still a dollar, and same continent. Price box for each type of cover is square, unlike all other foreign variants I’ve seen, and the same size as well. Covers look so much like the US version that CGC states the actual higher cover price of Canadian editions on the CGC label. I’d be interested in what collectors of 1980’s Canadian Edition price variants (which for Marvel ran from late 1982-1986) think about them belonging to ‘complete with variants set’, and would be interested in what CGC thinks as well.
  18. I would have to disagree- they are indeed ‘price variants’ of the same currency, and within same continent. Pence variants are not identical to US and Canadian editions in that way. I think most Canadian editions I’ve ever seen for sale even included the words ‘price variant’ in the title of the listings. Foreign editions from any other countries have not.
  19. Again, the 1980’s Marvel Canadian editions are a carbon copy of the the US newsstand editions, with the exception of a higher price in the price box. They are price variants. I haven’t collected Pence variants (from 70’s?), but if the same is true with them, I believe they should possibly go into a ‘complete with variants’ set as well. However, Canadian Editions are set apart from other foreign editions in the following ways: - same release date as US edition - same currency as US (dollars, although Canadian dollar a diff. rate) - same language as US - Canada is in same continent as US - US issues released after 80’s Canadian editions stopped being produced show 2 prices in the same price box on cover: price for US and price for Canada.
  20. Not sure if there was a discussion, but the FF (Complete) set does NOT include these variants, just US editions. Only the FF (Complete with Variants) set was used for the Canadian editions- where else would they be placed? They are in English (as opposed to another language) and are price variants. As a matter of fact, issues from the 80s are exactly the same as the US newsstand edition, except for the difference in price. I would say that yes, your FF 112 variants would belong in that particular set as well.
  21. Are all of those in solid NM/M condition (no spine stress marks, rips, creases, etc on front or back cover)? If so, shoot me a message w prices- let me know which ASM in that solid grade as well- interested in 500, 698-700, and more in between.
  22. Just an update on the 2 ASMs shown- seler offered a full refund if I return, no problem- however, he had scans of these before he shipped them out- they showed the same flaws as they do now. SCS wasn’t the problem- perhaps it really was DWG (drinking while grading)? That leaves me wondering...
