  1. Almost all the auction lots come from this guy's collection. He is a big big big collector who already sold tons of art at previous auctions. I can really think he didn't even watch the catalog.
  2. I know Sienkiewicz made a new version of this commission after the original one was stolen. The collector who ordered it told it to me when he posted the art on 2DG. He is the guy named on the tweet. For what I know, the owner's explanation can be true.
  3. Must be true to say nobody cares about the signatures because Campbell made a copy of Steinlen, not Toulouse Lautrec. It is written on the side of the signature.
  4. This cover was listed at $750 on SplashPage a couple of months back.
  5. The original art for this ad was shown last year at the "Art of DC comics exhibition" in Paris. Wonderful art, brings back nice memories.
  6. I am not a Moebius expert but style and lettering look like his. The certificate was issued from Daniel Maghen gallery which is one of the biggest comic art dealer in France so if the drawing matches the certificate, you can be sure it is genuine Moebius art.
  7. The certificate is about four pieces of art published in "l'écho des savanes" issue #12 magazine. As the picture cannot be properly seen, not possible to say if it matches this drawing.
  8. Very sad story, I still can't believe they packed the art so poorly. They should have asked you to use a professional transporter for shipping (like some auction houses asked me to do for valuable items). The package is not better than the one I picked up directly at their offices.
  9. Great ! Congratulations Sam ! Can be good news for Showcase collectors. Too bad, I have dropped collecting comig books since last year. There must be great things in your undercopies !
  10. Once read that the first grey tone was Showcase #3 cover but I think Overstreet guide lists Star Spangled War Stories #45. I remember a thread about this on the boards but could not find it, it must be there. I think Showcase #3 and All American Men of War #35 came out the same month ,Star Spangled War Stories #45 just one month earlier. So it might be one of them.
  11. I always loved the Sea Devils grey tone cover. Nice copy, congrats !
  12. That's absolutely true. Congratulations to Chris and the few others who completed the run. I think about you of course Boba with your 1-64 set, that was a great one !
  13. It is now the best set for both Flash and Green lantern runs : SC4 9.2 3rd highest graded, 3 books highergraded SC8 9.2 highest graded SC13 8.5 3rd highest, 2 higher SC 14 9.0 highest graded SC 22 9.0 : 2nd grade, 1 higher SC 23 9.2 : 2nd grade, 1 higher SC 24 9.0 : highest graded I think it will be difficult to beat him this year...
